With new Conte product fresh in the news, I thought it was a good time to share some pics of some of my favorite Conte figures from the BOSS sets. I have always maintained that no one so naturally captures motion, animation, drama, desperation, and the shear fury of war like we see in Conte's figures. This, IMHO, is Conte's greatest asset. The sculpting displays a deep study of not only anatomy under duress but an equal measure of applicable physics. I'm looking forward to seeing my figures of this artistic ilk on the horizon. Here are a few pics of some figures that I find highly emotive. (Sorry if some of the pics aren't too sharp. I do have a new camera, but the problem I found lies with the same old camera operator!

I'm certainly looking forward to the forthcoming Conte Romans and Barbarians and also what the new collector's club has to offer.

Thanks for taking a peak and enjoy your collection wherever you are!:) Joe

Yes, that is exactly what they remind me of too! What a vivid portrayal of sacrifice. Thank you old tank!

joesgis, those Boss sets show the real story of War, the Conte products are second to none. I don't do metal, but if I did, those would be the first sets on my list. I think your photos came out great, sharp closeups.:)

Thanks for the kind words modwalls! I certainly agree; the BOSS sets come closer to depicting the real story of war than any other. The BOSS sets are possibly my favorite of my entire collection.

Thanks for posting the pictures.

you're right and especially when this product was released 2-3 years ago. Here comes the BUT...

The faces were too grizzly and with too much shadowing for my taste. Don’t get me wrong, I love realism and I especially loved the poses in this release. It seemed the production may have been a bit rushed and without the typical quality control process.

Perhaps Conte’s next WWII metal release (whenever that might be) will be better. I speak only of the WWII recent sets.

There faces looked like something out of a 60's comic book!

Thank you, Rob. I hope to someday visit all of the beaches the Allied forces landed on. Along w/ all the bravery and selflessness, I read about how truly united the US was at that time.
