Conte Landing Craft (1 Viewer)

By the way, a couple more landing craft - if you're not offended by plastic. BMC makes (made?) a copy of the K&C LCVP in gray plastic. The details are simplified but could be added, or the boat could be shown as a damaged/sunken craft. Further, Lindberg models made a plastic LCVP in 1/32nd scale. This model has had several releases and different box arts since it was introduced in the '60's. Again, detail isn't up to newer 1/35th LCVPs, but the scale is closer to what most of us display. It still shows up at swap meets and on eBay from time-to-time.

Brad check out the paratroopers "Devils from above" 2 for $60 I'm pretty sure you will like them. They have 4 harnesses and the chute lines are divided into 4 sections attached to 4 hooks that attach to the harness. They look great, are easy to set up, and blend in with the King & Country paratroopers.

John, you're talking about the hanging ones, right? I still need to get the K & C ones but will check out these.

Brad:

Its Conte set WW2-071 -- Devils From Above and its great. I will post a photo of it shortly. I have my painting brigade (the wife) working on my new Conte pieces and as soon as they are done I will post photos of the Church, Priority, courtyard and so forth.

Don't miss the King & Country Paratroopers either, the figures are wonderful, I like the parashoot setup on the Conte Figures better, but a sceen using both figures is definitely the way to go.

Here is the King & Country figure, much nicer detail, even though the Conte figure is also very nice. If we had the Conte harness for our King & Country figure we would really have something!!

I finally bought one of these. I really think itr is a super item. My KnC G.I. 's look fine in it. I am going to detail it a bit more , add some decals and some real rope bumpers to it. I am very pleased. I also purchased a set of the beach obstacles and was equally impressed. Altough a KnC fan , this piece is one of the nicest I've seen from Conte.
I know KnC had made one years back, just wondering if it's on Andy's radar to make another??

Why not post a few pictures of it when you are finished with your detailing work?
Sounds like it is going to be terrific!

Just got the Conte LVCP and LCM in the recent conte sale and figured its praises had already been sung before my time on the forum,

am really impressed with both landing craft, really nicely weathered and both look great side by side with the ramps closed and filled with K&C vechicles and soldiers.

The packaging was really impressive as well as the box containing both was thru the wars on the way, gouged at the side and concertined at the front and not a mark on the models inside. Well done on the protective packaging:D

Great Models:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

Yes Sir, you are correct. I agree with your observations. I use my LCVP with my K&C Iwo Jima Marines and the LCM with my FOV Sherman. I too like them very much.:):)
