Hi all,

Below is my Conte Roman Legion - well a few centuries of a Legion anyway, with Barbarians. Approx 400 of each. A very small number of K&C barbarians too and TGM Romans. Enjoy!

Cheers,

Amazing! This is an awesome display. Love to see Romans in large numbers. Very impressive.

Absolutely jaw dropping. Big fan of figures on mass, but this is something else. Some manufacturers do not even produce this amount. I bet they love it when you go shopping.:salute::, Robin.

I see the excellent Conte Barbarian figures and the Viking Ballista repurposed to Roman use. Conte made a great Ballista; I was amazed he sold it in the Viking line rather than the Roman.

A great array of figures. Always interesting to see figures from multiple manufacturers combined in a diorama such as this. Very effective IMO.

What an outstanding scene with the two foes lined up with each other you have created. Great seeing your Legion formation in such depth don't think I've seen such a large Roman army in this scale. Looks blinking amazing. Well done ! :salute:::salute:: :salute::

This is fantastic !

A wonderful collection and display.

Thank you for posting.

How did Conte go out of business then if this is just one collection? Awesome display. Regards Sapper.

Conte had health problems; which was one of several reasons for his decline. Increased competition was another. Conte still sells old inventory on eBay. I have purchased a number of his excellent Roman and Barbarian sets and they are still the equal of their competition IMO. Especially in combat action poses!

Holy cow that's a lot of figures!!! I always enjoyed the Conte barbarians. It looks like you bought at least 20 sets of A Point Well Taken alone! I love that one. That's one impressive display! Thanks for sharing the photos.

Stefan your excellent battle scene is one of the largest I have seen in 60mm. The action poses of the Conte figures are great and add considerable realism.

The photos attached are two battle scenes with several sets of Conte Romans and Barbarians combined with some K&C and Del Prado Barbarians. The three manufacturers figures seem to work well together and add variety IMO.
