Can anyone tell me if they know of a supplier in the Uk for Conte other than Maison Militaire?.I tried emailing MM but got no reply.Also the same happened with Conte themselves,so are there any other Conte suppliers in the US that you would recommend.Thanks in advance guys

Have you tried phoning Ken Jackson, usually better than e-mail imo.

Two good dealers of Conte in the US would be Hobby Bunker and Michigan Toy Soldiers.

On Conte's website he lists the following as his only UK dealer:

Harrison, Kenneth 011 44 012 54 879 749 Bacup, Lankshire 0L13

How accurate that is I cannot tell.

Check out Treefrog too. Shannon does not have Conte, but almost everything else.

If your thinking about Acw please also consider britains (you will not regret it)

If you do get conte wich has many great pieces I would advise you to stay away from the sons of the south range.

Absolutely.I already have half a dozen Britians Rebs and five Union Cavalry men.What i'm really excited about is that UK Rebs dio's have shown me how you can mix Conte,Britains,Frontline figs to very good effect.

Do you have the older britains sets? The new Britains sets are absolutely incredible. Anyway, It's pretty sweet your getting into Acw. I have not collected any in a while and UK reb's dioramas have persuaded me to start up again.

Thank you.My Britains are about five years old now,i have a confederate firing line and Flag bearer.So i'm gradually going to build up my Southern Army from there and start a whole new Union collection.I really like my Union cavalry but i'm not sure they will fit into the dio i eventually hope to create.

btsoldiers is another great dealer. They have an awesome store through ebay. Not to mention some really great prices on their items. I picked up the Lions of The Round Top for $40.00 on an auction through them. They also have some of his retired sets. Shipping is fast to. They use priority which means you get it sooner but I know I had a big order the one time and asked for regular shipping to cut the cost down and they did for me. I personally think they are great to deal with.
