Weren’t the buildings in these WW2 sets designed by Ken Osen?

Did this set come with the cemetery?

No just an add on I managed to find. I was lucky enough to purchase 2 rear walls for the church from a forum member who had 5. At one point I had the inside of the priory fitted as a German field hospital, as the roof is removable. Very useful building. Robin.

I was lucky enough to buy the church when it came out. I missed the priory part and have looked for it ever since.
I've seen it a few times but way over what I would want to pay. I would like to find the rear wall separately if nothing else but man she is hard to come by.

Here are some shots of the priory for reference. Robin.

I would even be content with just the church wall expansion I was very lucky to get my hands on the church and I'm trying to build a massive diorama that fits on a ping pong table and the church is the center piece

love to see some photos even now as it progresses. My table is for my Zulu and is starting to sag under the weight. Propped up with a couple of timber posts underneath now. Robin.

This piece has always been popular and in high demand. Someone needs to reproduce this several piece set or something similar. Hudson and Allen would be a great place to start. They produce outstanding buildings and this would be a big seller. What do you say Ken?

Strange. Keep trying. Perhaps try to downsize your photo before downloading. Hopefully someone can help, it must be very frustrating. Robin.

Matt at Hobby bunker had something in pipeline with the molds etc but nothing eventuated.
Not sure the whole story was a while ago.

As memory serves me, Matt was going to have a similar church made as that piece and the priory are always sought after and well they should be, they are IMO the two most stunning foam terrain features out there.

The problem is with the size of it and the complexity of the mold, it costs a fortune to have it sculpted, then master and production molds made, plus the number of pulls you will get out of the mold before it is fried and then you have to have it retooled.

The other issue is finding a company that will make these for you, it's a specialized craft and to my knowledge, only two or three companies in the US who produce products like this in foam, or more to the point, a reliable one.

A number of years ago, I approached a company and I wanted two projects; one would be an Eastern Front series of trenches with log pillboxes and such, the second was the sea wall at Tarawa. We went back and forth a number of times over price, production, etc, etc, the company at the time was going to charge me a set price to sculpt it and make the production and the master mold, THEN on top of that, I had rights to both projects for a year, then that company owns the rights to it and can sell it whomever they want.

My issue was; based on what they were charging me, could I sell enough of them as an exclusive for a year to cover the cost and make money as well...……………..at the end of the day, in my mind the answer was no, so I passed.

A number of years later, a company in California made a Tarawa Seawall for TSSD in foam.

Right idea for me, timing was off...……………………...

may have figuered out to post photos thanks to mike but here is my layout may add another building or two and will be sure to update (also don't mind my walls) also the other half of the table is going to be a farm land or fields I should say1.jpg2.jpg

Hey Robin, terrific photos of your priory, I don't recall seeing many internal photos of that building before. I envy you guys that have the room to create such large displays. I've been living in a Two bedroom villa for a few years now, still can't get used to the limited space.

Yes, I can see the photos, looks great, and look forward to seeing the expansion of the village over time. I hope that table tennis table can take the weight {eek3} {sm4}

A terrific start to your village. Plenty of scope to add accessories and detail. The magic begins when you add figures and vehicles bringing the whole scene to life. Look forward to seeing more progress shots. Robin.
