Copywrite-again (2 Viewers)

does the show itself not pay tribute and immortalise the ''actors'' for what they are actors? why require a set of figures to respect them or, pay tribute? Buy the DVD. I don't feel anymore or less respectful to the people who played these roles by not having multiple choices of figures of them to buy.

Basically, as I interpret your posts (and they're not that easy to follow), you're asking whether you can make figures of characters represented in the show without paying any royalties and/or securing the consent of the owners in and to the copyrights.

This isn't the first time you've asked the question and I believe it's been anwered. People have explained the law and now it's up to you whether you wish to comply or not. You have to evaluate the risk and proceed accordingly.

jazzeum.....I am not interested in making DA figures....beyond my skill....I know about copy write...this was misread before as well........I will start again...I asked ... in a nut shell ... If a figure of Clyde Dunn as Lcpl Jones was done as a TRIBUTE to the actor in his most famous role...should it be subject to copywrite,,,, as the the actor has sadly passed on...WAS there a question of copywrite ....apparently the figure would still be copywrted to the BBC,,,,which I ,,in error kept referring too as the ABC ...........if it got balled up in translation as apparently it has judging by some replies....my fault....copywrite is copywrite and no matter how well the intention...it is still copywrite.....no way around it......copywrite in my understanding is to make money selling it or leasing it.....if...you want to charge too much for the copywrite....no one will buy it,,,the copywriter does not make money because it is too greedy......and the TS collector has one less desirable toy to collect......there I have done the best I can....if that aint clear well sorry about that.......finis....TomB

Hello Brett,

I have this movie and I got it on ebay for about $8.00 . It is a region 2 dvd from England but bought from a Australian ebay shop. You could try ebay again as It pops up a lot. Good luck with your search. I think the shop was called DVD MAD but it was along time ago. Simmo.
