Countdown to Chicago! (1 Viewer)

In looking at the 1944 scene, very nicely done by the way, I don't see any new figures, mostly older sets (most of which are retired), such as DD 39 Jimmy Truck, DD 40 Truck Riders, DD 42 MP, DD 43 Infantry on Patrol, DD 41 MP on Motorcycle, DD 93 Sherman, trailer from DD 49, DD 75 Jeep and DD 96 Over There (one of my favorite sets).

What do you think of the 1940 FOB display i have never seen the two ww2 mercedes staff cars,is
that a hint ?

Thanks Al. Since Andy put the Cromwell Tank in the background of one of Gordons dio's a couple of years back (before it was announced) I like to examine these scenes for any other little surprises!^&grin

Oh, Rob, come on now, not again. Have you been skipping on the medication?

Whether I go skipping OR take medication is entirely my affair according to my personal restraint operative as they are now known. YOU are a bad influence upon me, and according to my Alcohol advisory implementation assistant I'm not to let you get me drunk in public again. So I sacked her:wink2:

Am I the only one to see the Pink Elephant behind the Boulangerie....no jokes about big French girls please!

Sorry to hear about the loss of the PRO and the AAIA.
You should hire somone from the Guidance Integrated Network & Total Optical Neurological Incapacitation Centre, to replace them. :)

One never knows because sometimes Andy and Gordon use available models to complete a scene. After seeing the cars that Andy did for RAF and the Germany Navy, I thought that they could launch a separate line of model cars. I will be interested to hear what Andy has to say.

Once again Gordon has cooked up some fantastic dioramas for Chicago . . . ^&cool

The Normandy town range is really shaping up well, these two buildings look very good together placed on a cobblestone mat. I wonder how good a 1/30 scale French WW1 memorial would look in the town square?

I wonder whether he was under the influence Simon when he saw those tank riders. I would say I was :wink2:

That is a beautiful diorama, very well done, very SPRish................

Lots of the guys are loving seeing the old retired figures in these dioramas, so maybe thats a hint for Andy to bring some out of retrement and make some more of them? I know the will have to be sold at the new price, but hey, if they are still wanted, why not do what the customer wants ???

For me, the best is the horse and cart from the Rev War sets.... that wil go in any diroama covering a 150 year time span ... 1776 - WW2

Congrats to Gordon and Andy for another stunning diorama. Sadly, I will not be able to see this in person at Chicago, but appreciate getting the opportunity to see it beforehand.

Another Chicago Show that is going to get by me :(

I have to be in Germany with my client - talking about tanks and other things that go boom !

One day I hope to make it to that Great Toy Soldier Show - it just seems September always has me traveling.

Know The Chicago Show is superb, however, kudos to Matt (Hobby Bunker) and George (Minuteman) for puting on great displays at The Northern Virginia Show here in The D.C. Area this Sat. They were second to none. Regards, Larry.

Re: A Different Point of View

Hi Guys,

Many thanks for the kind and appreciative comments on our last diorama pix of France 1940 and France 1944… I thought you might like to see what’s around the other side of these “setups”… Enjoy!

Best wishes and happy collecting!

Andy

Stumbled upon this pic by chance the other day, don't recall seeing it before so maybe another sneak preview of what will be at Chicago?
