I am sorry that HB will not be making any more vehicles, I think they have made some of the best kit around in recent years.........................

Excellent CLEAR picture, Panda, you manage very well the day light effects in your camera.
 
The US troops in the south of the Ardennes tried to prepare for the onslaught, but they were at the end of overstretched supply lines. Nevetheless the allies still had far more material than the Germans who were being squeezed between the western and eastern allies.

Here a GPA ambhibious jeep takes supplies to the pack artillery of the 101st Airborne - the Screaming Eagles were sent to support the defences of the crucial southern crossroads town, Bastogne, with orders to hold the town at all costs...............

The airmobile pack 75mm howitzers of the 101st would be very busy in the coming battle..................

.................see the "creating the battle of Arnhem'' thread for detailed information on this gun, also used by British parachutists and other allied troops, including in the far East, where mules carried guns broken down in their component parts. These were superior, given the lack of roads, to traditional towed artillery that needed roads to move on.
