Take it easy Kev, there is no rush on the books. Everybody waited 4 years for the 1st volume, I'm sure they could wait a couple of months for the next couple.

You speak for yerself Louis. I want my next book and I want it NOW!

Stop slacking Elliott, if you're sleeping anymore than 90 minutes in any 24 hour period, it's too much. ;)

Kevin, great photos, great dioramas, great lighting, the usual talent:rolleyes:

Cheers,
Paulo

Why don't you go help him with the formatting, Simon? It only took him an hour or so to teach me to plug photos and text in, and I am completely technologically incompetent.:p

Kevin could indeed turn these threads into great illustrated history books for collectors as well as for children - could you imagine how much easier it would be to get kids to read about history with Kevin's photos to draw them into the story?

Oh, and by the way, I do have a lot of pieces . . . but so does Kevin, which is yet another reason we teamed up on the books.

How you guys shared the soldiers+ tanks and all these pieces? Louis, all your stuff are in your Museum in NY City and Kevin is in UK?

I would, but my spelling is not up to much. And I'd hate to have any spelling mistakes in a publication. :p (cue a tirade of abuse in Italian :D)

You can tell the location of the pieces from the backdrops. If the backdrops are K&C buildings or dioramas, then the pieces depicted are in my collection in New York (the photos were taken in my backyard - we carried everything down from the Museum and shot it in natural lights). This is about 80% of the photos in the book. If the backdrops are JG Miniatures buildings, then the items depicted are in Kevin's collection in England, photographed for the most part in his conservatory. These are the remaining 20% of the photographs. Kevin flew to New York 3 times to do the photography for the book.

There is something sureal about reading these posts about yourself........

As for you Wraith.......Sie unverschämter Affe, stoppen ihn!

Louis, no secrets or mystery here......;)

Meanwhile.....

Tea? On a weekday? Never allowed! The kids these days.....

Yeah, bit of a pain that it clashes with my kids camp. I'll ask the Nevilles to put it on a different weekend next year. I'll be there in December, so you've got 6 months to start increasing your accuracy. ;)

Accuracy at pouring tea.

I hope to have some more books for you to buy in December, you are safe unless you don't buy.

I'm an easy sell. Looking forward to the Modern volume. As has been mentioned, you could fill out two volumes based purely on this and the Arnhem threads.

I really enjoy you camera work, what exactly are you using? Any special

lighting or film, or is it digital?

Just a basic Canon SLR digital, I'm a point and shoot man, but these winter shots are shot in winter.

I use a Nikon Digital, and an F5, but I have heard a lot of good things about

Cannon. Its mostly what you see at sporting events. You certainly have a

good eye.
