Credible Big Cat Sighting (1 Viewer)

Thats some interesting information on the many species that have escaped and are florishing. Here in the Heidelberg area we have a fairly large colony/flock of Green Parrots called Alexandrine Ringnecks, not sure exactly when or where they came from but they look like a type from India. They are really amazing to see outside of a tropical setting. I always enjoy showing them to friends who dont believe me. Of course they are also amazed when they see a large herd of Wild Boar here. The Red Deer are around as well as the Sitka or Fallow Deer but I havent heard of them interbreeding. I will ask at the next meeting of the Jagers next week. I am sure one of the Germans will have information on this subject.

I must admit that I am enjoying this thread a great deal even if it isnt about Toy Soldiers. At least its not too controversial.;)

You'd be suprised how contraversial it can be. especially with the animal right lot! If you look at the Mink for instance, an American species that was being bred in captivity for fur. Personaly I don't like the idea of killing just for fur but at least captive bred doesn't affect the wild population. About ten years ago some people took it upon them selves to release said Mink into the wild! Now the Water Vole population has dropped by ninety percent because of those Mink! One possible bit of good news though, is that by encouraging the re-population of Otters, which won't share territory with Mink, a native species could correct our mistakes.

Another thing I forgot, Turtles, very popular a few years ago with the "Ninja Turtles". Once they started to grow, idiots released them into local ponds etc. There was even a case a couple of years ago where a large Snapping Turtle was in a British pond!
