Crusaders anyone?? (2 Viewers)

I couldn’t agree more about the Landsknechts. They are absolutely stunning. I have about a dozen of them and can post photos tomorrow if you wish.

Please do Brad....I remember members posting them awhile back but would like a refresher post if possible.

Sammy, I will take them out tomorrow and take some photos.

Brad

Sammy, here are my Landsknechts.

The one above, Georg Von Frundsberg, their commander, is a simply a stunning figure.

Here is the opposition, the Swiss Mercenaries.

The flag bearers in this range are outstanding. The one above represents the Canton of Bern. The coat of arms is still in use by the city of Bern and canton of Bern.

Hi Brad, thanks for taking the time to post these fine photos!! and indeed they look fantastic!!! I'm on the fence as what to order next, I'd like to add some Mass Battle figures to a small Civil War collection I have, but really like to grab a few Crusaders, oh well, such is the life of a toy soldier collector :)

Been looking over the Crusader range again and I really do like the Mounted horseback series, I may have to dabble in at least 1 as they look astounding!!!!

I love them and there are some great sets still available.

Took the plunge and put a order in for Crusader 049!!! The Horse looks fantastic as does the rider...going to be a few weeks until he arrives, can't wait!!!

A pair of out of production/ retired Hospitallers are up for bid on eBay. Very reasonably priced right now. Just search First Legion CRU on eBay and they should be close to the top

Decided on the Crusader Bishop as my next Crusader, love the detail in the flag as well as his uniform, anyone have this piece??

I do not, but it is one I want. I bet it’s the next diamond in the rough where I pull it out of the box and wonder why I waited so long.

Got to say I'm blown away with the mounted Crusader!! The detail on both the rider and horse are fantastic!!! The more I collect this line the more I'm impressed.

Congratulations Sammy, Good to see you enjoying others periods and the hobby in general.

Thanks Gebs!! Sometimes one odd turn in the road takes on a whole different adventure!!! As my WWII pieces have become more expensive I realized there are plenty First Legion ranges within my budget that I have always admired, took a dip in the Crusader Range and enjoyed the ride so far ...could a diorama be far off??? :)
