Here you go guys - the latest redeployment of my K&C Crusaders in the new diorama displays in my living room. All a part of the new positioning phase of the Phillips Collection. :D

Sorry about the photos not being so great :( - this was a quick snap and post operation ;)

Did you notice the Dept 56 Rug Merchant trying to sell some rugs in the battle ? :)

Well done as ever,,thanks for the photos,,thought I noticed a feather merchant in there also.

Great looking dio Ron. I am glad to see that you could use the Dept. 56 Rug Merchant's Colonade you bought from me. I just purchased a Dept. 56 Caravansary Wall set and the Caravansary Gate. I have from 12/24 until 1/5 off from work - during this time I plan to make a Crusader dio using these pieces as an "ancient" ruins backdrop for a desert skirmish. The Dept 56 Bethlehem Village items work fantastically well with K&C figures. They are always a great addition to any AK or Crusader dio. Once again, very nicely done.

Special bargain, just for you, cheap! cheap! Special prices for Templars! Not a Templar, a Hospitalar? Special prices for Hospitalars!:p:D

Diorama?? Well Ron! Nice setup - but to call it a diorama ......:)

Anyway - great to see a fellow-crusader-collector with lot of energy! Keep up the good work!;)

Looks great just like all the other photos of your collection that you have shared with us.

Very nice diorama, Ron. You have a nice size Medieval collection. Where did you get the camel?

Thanks guys for all the kind comments.

I really have a great collection of Crusaders due to my wife bought me most of them as a Christmas present last year. I still have a few of those new releases from K&C that I haven't got as of yet. My fingers are crossed for this year's Christmas present.

I know the space is a little tight - but, that is the problem with a growing K&C Collection and a Capitol Hill Townhouse !

I will post some pics of other dioramas/display as I restructure my space in the coming weeks. :D

Toy Soldier Show in Gettysburg - the Camel with Guy is from the King & Country Silk Road Range. Here is another close up.

Ron,

Thank you for showing us the close up of the guy with his camel. Very nice figures.

Louis is the guy that probally can give you all the details - but, the range was started in the 90's and was retired. It was not a very big range - lots of great items in it like the Elephant ! - that item is very RARE !!

What is the Silk Road Range? Never heard of it.

Bill Sager's website has the Silk Road range listed under "Historic Oriental" I think. There are around 10 or so items listed there including this guy. Also there is one on Ebay right now. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info MD. I always like Bill's web site as a reource for reference purposes. Just finished looking at the Silk Road pieces. SR005 Silk Road Gate House is fantastic looking. Wish I had one. It would make an excellent backdrop for a desert dio. The camel is nice too. I am hoping that 2009 will bring some K&C camel mounted Crusader figures.

Very nice collection Ron. Wow, your wife gave you all those? Maybe she could talk to my wife?;):D I love the rug sale part BTW.
