Cunnyngham Confederates. Photos (2 Viewers)

Beau, Are your Union figures going to all have the same equipment and uniforms?

The Union troops will be a bit more uniformed, but far from being the anonymous lines of blue troops we're used to seeing in the Federal army. They will all be uniformed in the 4 button coats, carry Springfields, and all wear the standard leathers and gear... no packs. The hats and faces are where we'll give them some personality. This will be a decidedly Western unit, populated with undecorated 1858 dress hats (The Hardee Hat), some telescoped down, some with the center crease, and some looking fresh from the quartermaster. Probably throw in a forage cap and a kepi for variety.

While our first set was meant for a battle or skirmish line, our Union will be in an advancing line; ducking, weaving, and hollering at each other to keep moving!

NEAT!

I would like to be able to make a larger formation of 20-30 troops beyond the 6 obvious individual poses. That's where TSSD troops are a problem.

Some minor conversions. They look a little rough close-up. I REALLY like the loading figure. He could blend in with TSSD with a new head and TSSD's replacement rifles. These conversions could blend in with Conte.

The Cunnyngham confederates should be shipping very soon if they are not already. They are great additions to the ranks of our Reb armies.

They help blend the Conte and Marx figures size wise. Quite a trick.

As always, awesome pictures!

The truck with our figures just arrived today, and the online store should be up and ready by Monday if not sooner. We'll also be distributing them to various dealers across the country (and across the seas).

Thanks for posting the pictures!

Thanks for the link Scott...That was rather funny :D I like his take on the biker hat guy :eek:

I got mine this summer just finished painting them up....my first attempt if I ever get the courage I may show them:confused:

Nicely done,,I had supervisors with too small heads among other things and they semi functioned.

I finally got around to painting mine. I really like the figures but found them very difficult to paint for some reason. Maybe my eyesight is getting worse. Anyway here are some pics;

Thank you Britfarmer. I believe I enjoy shooting the pics and posting them even more than I like painting the figs.

I enjoy setting up my figures in mini dios and taking snaps as well. I am waiting to receive some castings so I can also have a go at painting figures for the first time. :rolleyes2::cool:

I would like to try that sometime as well. My money situation keeps me pretty firmly into plastics right now. Which is fine, I like plastics very much.

Yeah the metal castings can be pricey, I just ordered 2 figures to test the waters and they will work as stand alone pieces if painting my own is not for me.
