I recently bought a Howard Miller curio. It is model number 680235. I collect a lot of planes and other large pieces and also wanted more options for large figure displays. If you want depth, this curio is much larger than others I have seen. It is over 21 inches deep versus the typical 12-15 inches and quite wide too. I was even able to fit my Figarti ME-110, which is the largest plane I currently have, plus lots more on the same shelf. It is a bit steep, but a local furniture warehouse sells it for a few hundred off the normal retail price. I love it and want to get another one!!!
Since we're all sharing...........here are few photos of my display cabinet. For lack of space I only have this one cabinet so not all of my collection gets seen. As a way around that I rotate my displays throughout the year, periodically putting out certain parts of my collection.

Mine is very steady. I didn't do any additional leveling or anything, and it is sitting on carpet, would should be less stable than a hardwood floor. It comes with attachments you can use for stabilizing by attachment to a wall in case you have children who like to climb or live in an earthquake zone perhaps. I did not need those. I will see if I can share a few photos this weekend. On one shelf, for example, I have the Me-110, a Figarti Tiger, 4 T-34s, 3 K&C facades, a few figures, and still have space. It really does give you a luxury you do not have with most cases. I had a pretty nice curio already but it is only 13 inches deep. I am using that one now for figures and the larger one for some figures and lots of bigger pieces.
The only thing I wish was different is that the top is recessed, so it is going to take a little extra boarding or something to be able to display items on top.
Now that we are on a tangent anyway, I may do a repeat and post a picture of my favorite collection:
Same here, IKEA, but someday when I grow up... Chris
Hope not, the key is never to grow up? I need a reason to keep my cases and studio. My grand kids will help with that.

Believe it or not they are off the shelf. The grand kids love them so we sort of play with them... they will be in a diorama soon and then back in the IKEA cases... Chris
Thanks Chris and can you please let me know the brand, cost and where you got them from? They are really cool and I have always had a soft spot for star wars spaceships. When I was a kid I built some little x -wing fighters and a large rebel air speeder from kits. They are all gone as per most things from my child hood days.
Tom
I would not mind knowing as well. My guess is that they are from the tabletop game called "Star Wars Miniatures." Although I think they are no longer produced.
Tom,those Star Wars ships are from Star Wars Armada.Tabletop war game.
