command.JPGzippo.JPGvulcan.JPG posted these in Forces of Valor section but wanted to show them in KC because I think they will work with new VN figures. They are modified 1/32 diecast M901 from FOV. M577 Command APC, Zippo Flamethrower and Vulcan AA track

Never thought about selling anything I build. Just make what I like when its not available. But maybe in the future, who knows. Thanks for the interest.

Guys,
Check this photo out of the four Aussie diggers riding an early version of the M113 (1965-1966) before the T50 Turret was added (M113A1) and imagine it as a U.S. Marines version and an Israeli version for the six day war range. Let your mine run wild.{sm4}

Hopefully K&C will do both versions, Vietnam and Israeli.

Hi Andy , I usually only do WWII but growing up during the Vietnam War the everyday TV newsclips always showed a M113 and it became my favorite vehicle. I'd be all in. I know you folks would do it perfectly too.

Don't know if it would be feasible or even if there would be enough demand for variations, but perhaps for the Vietnam version the commanders cupola with shielded .50 could be made interchangeable with a turret design or two even if this were an add on extra item sold separately. Hopefully there will be Aussie and US ones.

Steve

Those 21st Century M-113's are like gold. They are to small for K&C but work well with the TSSD & Plastic Platoon figures. I remember Walmart had them on clearance for $5 and still could not sell them as there were no Vietnam figures at the time. Now they go for at least $80 on ebay. A couple of years ago at OTSN when Vietnam figures were just coming out I was able to pick up 3 for $35 each, he had more. Still kicking myself for not buying them all.

Keep coming back to this photo, gee this vehicle with the riders looks terrific. Well balanced fighting machine. Would love this vehicle with the exact poses of the riders, you never know, wishes do come true in our 1/30th hobby. ^&cool. Robin.

Robin mate,
Nothing better than a Dio full of M113's and throw in a couple of Centurions for good measure. I am sure your wish will come true.:smile2: It is interesting to me the names on these vehicles as most Squadrons (A, B & C) named their carriers with the starting letters of the Squadron. As a young Corporal, I had a section of 3 x M113A1s in 'B' Squadron and they were named "Bewitched", "Bothered" and "Bewildered". It sort of fitted the pattern of life I was at in the late 60's and early 70's{sm4} Cheers Howard

Nothing worse than sitting in the back of an M113 :)

John

Agreed! The best part about being a FOO is that you get to be in the turret and stick your head outside instead of being stuck in the back.

Awesome display Howard, do you own this?

Matt mate,
I wish I did cobber, but this was a display at the Puckapuyal Tank Museum, that I took all the interstate collectors and Andy too at the July, K&C Weekend.
Cheers Howard

PS However I am working on a large Dio base at the moment set around the Battle of Binh BA which will need four Centurions and 13 x M113s plus plenty of infantry attacking.
