Guys
Read this in a UK newspaper yesterday:-
Delay overseas Christmas purchases. Customs duty is charged on goods worth £18.00 ($27.00US) or more bought online from non-EU countries. But from December 1st, the limit is to be increased to £105 ($158.00US)
I have not heard a peep about this until I read it in the paper-Have any of you?
Is this another tax give-away from Uncle Hamish Brown (then you can vote for me) or is it just for the Christmas period?
Having (like most of my UK shopper colleagues) been crucified with outrageous and crippling customs charges whenever purchasing toy soldier figures from the States I am somewhat bemused that the Custom Bandits and Parcel Force would give up this ever increasing cash cow so easily.
