Here are two photos of my diorama of Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944 representing the first wave of US Army 1st Infantry Division troops reaching a German bunker on the buff above the beach. I started this diorama in mid 2009 or so. I was hoping for more action US Army 1st Infantry Division figures to come out in 2010. Alas, K&C only came out with "non-action" figures in 2010 relative to D-Day and there will be no more such action figures until 2011. To help fill out the diorama at least some what relative to the US Army side of the diorama I used #3 US Army paratroopers that I placed on "temporary duty" on the right side of the diorama. One can not see their 82nd & 101st Airborne Division patches unless one would bend over a good bit and have good eye sight. I hope that K&C will indeed come out with more action figures for my D-Day Omaha Beach diorama in 2011, perhaps by June 6th?

Good stuff. I'm sure K&C will "fill out" your ranks for this diorama with more U.S. troopers in the future. Your diorama got me thinking. At the last Chicago show didn't the D-day Minus 1 dockfront assembly area diorama show a U.S. Sherman with Snorkel for D-Day and a large landing craft carrying it in the water?

That is a really nice set up glad you shared it with us
Mitch

fantastic set up conte do some beach obsticles which im sure would enhance the diorama, it would be nice if k and c done some dead or dieing to go with the u s rangers

Very nice beach scene. The classic Sherman should win the day.:D -- Al

Lovely display - I really enjoy the personal touches you have used that lend your diorama a realistic feel. It's hard to capture the measure of how much sand those guys had to cross.
I'm hanging out with you till 2011.
:)
