Dad's Models (1 Viewer)

They look great mate i envy people with these skills, what scale are they ??

Having seen John's work in the 'flesh' I can attest to his fine skill, a skill I never seemed to attain when it came to kit bashing. He told me he has 1/48 Dambuster Lanc ready to be put together, now I know that will be something to behold when finished.
Wayne.

Spits - 1/32
Hellcat - 1/48th

Superb models, just excellent work.

Excellent indeed and couldn't have said it better than Wayne.

Your Dad has some nice work there, Jack! What make are the kits?

Prost!

I made the same mistake last time! It is a wildcat!

He has the 1/48 Lanc and the Wingnuts Bristol and Snipe in the lineup ready to go. I want him to finish the 1/72nd Handley Page.

Revell - the IA has the pilot and the other three are IIA.

Thanks, Jack! If those are the old Revell kits, then my respect is even deeper! I'm a fan of the old, original Revell 1/32 kits, having built them as a kid. The Typhoon was my first, when I was 9 or 10, and my cousin helped me with things like using rattlecans instead of painting everything by hand. It was a step up for me.

I think they hold up well today, despite the kits from newer makers like Trumpeter. And I'm glad your father enjoys building models, too, it's a great hobby.

Prost!

Love to see the Handley Page when done. I'll bet it's a monster, even in 1/72, and that 1/48 Lanc will take up some space as well.:wink2: -- Al
