damaged German winter Panther W/mechanics (1 Viewer)

Also, there looks to be crud around the tracks (like I incessantly complained to Andy about on K&C vehicles). I hope I am wrong, and a better photo clears up my issues.

Louis-
I think it is supposed to be stuck in the mud.

Nope does not do it for me in any shape or form - sorry! I really like the ski troops and will get those but will be passing on this. The tracks with the mud are not what I would want to see in my collection and the $190 price tag is too much. I would rather get the K&C Ramjager and Tractor unit for that money or get 3 of the NMA lynx and still have change left.

I have to admit the stuck in the mud look doesnt do it for
me,
I have a couple of honour bound panthers and feel they
are the best tanks in this scale in my collection.
And a big part of that is detail on tracks and the subtilty
of the whole look of the tank which seems a bit lost here.
[maybe its just the photos]
I would rather have seen some form of battle damage,
Realy looking forward to the sherman :)

I like everthing about this model , EXCEPT the "stuck in the mud" around the treads. I think it limits you display options IMO. Figures look fine , poses excellent. I will pass on this one for now.
When I first saw it I could not figure out why the "mud" base was affixed around the base , so I suppose to get it the stuck in the mud look. I think they could of just as easily had a thrown tread and left out the "mud"

Thrown tread idea is a great one......or they could have made a separate mud base to place the model on ,as NWTC does for their WW1 stuff........

Honor Bound Tanks and accompanying figures are great.BUT, why spoil the tanks with the mud base.It detracts seriously from what would otherwise be an outstanding addition to the Honor Bound line.

HB has a number of summer and winter panthers. I assume the "stuck in mud" version is just an attempt to do something a littel different. I would have preferred a battle damaged version to this one, but still look forward to seeing it in person.

I never learn. I should never asssume and I do it all the time. I too would have perferred a battle damaged version not a broke down in the mud version. I don't know where I will put this one on my wish list, if at all. I certainly do hope my assumption that the Shermans will be as well done as the undamaged Panthers turns out to be a fact. If they are, they will be second on my list, John Jenkins always first, sorry K&C fans but I have rearranged my favorite list.

Michael,

Of course that tanks that are not stuck in the mud won't have mud in the tracks.:D . Don't worry, you'll be able to see 'through' the Sherman tracks.

Do we need to show that we can make clean tracks at this point? We thought that the 'stuck in the mud' version, with a little battle damage details would be a nice and fun different addition to our line, to be 'towed' by the Bergepanther. This kind of inconvenient was very common to vehicles during WWII. Sorry for those of you that don't like it :(

If you like the different camos, you can order panthers or bergepanthers painted that way in order to match a pair or a group. They are available upon special request.

:) Ana:)

I really like the John Jenkins figures but I understand they mostly do Indian based stuff, I wonder if they will be doing any figures based on WWII. I think there's a big market waiting there if they did.

...Sorry for those of you that don't like it... Ana:)

Ana, Just because some of us question what a maker produces does not mean we are not supporters ;) In fact I hope the damaged panthers are big sellers so that HB can continue to make the great stuff that it does. I look forward to all your releases and admire the talent of your company. Dispite what could be called negative comments, I perfer to call them constructive comments, I am one of your biggest supporters.:) :) :)

I doubt they ever get into WWII. Really can't see them competiting with KC and others. I think they are looking at a smaller niche market of historically inclined collectors. Maybe something from the 18th or 19th century that hasn't been done.

I have to agree with Ana on the tracks issue. I think they've established their bona fides on this point and it's nice to see something a little different. A thrown track would have been interesting but it may have been a challenge to make. I look forward to seeing these in person.

Ana,i think these look really good.As was said earlier something a little different.I also appreciate the abillity to match a Panther witha Bergpanther.Well done and keep up the good work!:)
