Death Whispered a Lullaby (2 Viewers)

Super atmosphere..It looks like a "romantic" painting...:)

Joe, simple dio but Oh so dramatic . Only two figures express what was going on there before . I love the dark backdrop.
Well done my friend{bravo}}

looks good ...simple but tells a greater story !!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you very much for the kind words and comments Poppo, Guy and Rod.

Guy, the dark back drop that you said you liked is actually an abstract oil painting by my wife. I saw this painting among a stack of canvases in her studio, and the scene just came to me. (I had just received the FL battle casualty figures that very same day.) I asked my wife if I could use her painting as a backdrop for this little scene. I wanted to put these elements together to tell a "greater story" like Rod said. So Poppo, you were not very far off at all when you said the scene looked like a "romantic painting" (my wife really enjoyed your comment, by the way:smile2:). I wanted to set something up that showed that these opposing forces are now equal, and to also create the feeling that although their bodies are lifeless, the night's sky is full of electricity and life, as if there might be something more, whatever it may be. I put the figures on lush, green grass symbolizing life and growth while planting a withered, dead tree prominently in the setting not only to fit the main theme but for contrast with the life forces so easily overlooked.

It's so cool that so many people felt, in one way or another, what I was trying to convey.
Joe
