Hi Mark,
Welcome to the forum and what an amazing first dio to share. I can see how this took you 3 years of work. Your carrier is incredible and with the planes, figures, and accessories, its been brought to life. Your build goes beyond just collecting; I call this art. Just like many often say, even with your top-notch images, I bet seeing this in person is even more impressive.

Thank you, Rob and yes....there are a lot of little details the camera finds difficult to pick up. I added adjustable Woodland Scenics red lights inside the island and bridge and there is also an adjustable white light at the masthead. Looks pretty cool with the lights out.

Thanks again

Mark

Mark,

Others have already taken the words I would use to describe your incredible work. Then again, I am glad that they have expressed words already because I was left speechless when I first saw this.

This is something you should definitely be proud of! We don't see too much of the Pearl Harbor part of WW2 in the hobby so your work is refreshing to see.

This is simply stunning............thanks for sharing this with us.

Thank you, Mark. I sincerely appreciate your comments.

This was certainly an ambitious project and I am very pleased with how it turned out. The Internet has loads of information on scale model building but because of the size of this project, many of the finishing techniques I used I learned on the fly. Something that will come in handy for my next project. {sm4}

Thanks again!
