Dear All
Before we dive into the new releases, a quick update regarding production and past products that you may find useful to know!
Production Quality
At the moment we use 2 factories, factory A and factory B.
The vast majority of our customers seem more than happy with the FFL range and the goods that come from this factory, which we will call factory A. We have a particularly good relationship with this factory despite only having used them for some of our production since June this year.
Factory B makes our vehicles and has been making most of our other figures including the Gunn Club figures. They have proved they can make an excellent pre-production sample but its not always been the case in that every production item is up to scratch. What we see at a pre-production stage is not always what we get as a finished product!
Therefore to ensure consistent quality during production we are moving everything over to factory A. In fact the vast majority of Novembers releases will be from factory A and I would say that we only have 1 or 2 products still to come from factory B. By the end of January 2014 there should be no more items coming from factory B.
What this means is that like some of our competitors’ products, what you see in the photo is what you get. Hopefully this means happy customers and happy dealers, which means increased sales for us – really it’s a win win situation for all parties.
V Series 12 Armoured Car
When inserting the MG42 please note that you will need to insert via the turret opening as if you were sitting in the actual turret. It will not fit in by dropping the machine gun in from above. The opening is a little tight and therefore it needs a little gentle persuasion, but it will sit beautifully once its been fitted this way.
There is no issue with the Russian version SOV003 as it has a much thinner MG barrel.
OK so here are the dispatches below!
ABC007 Head-hunter: Another fine edition to our ABC series in the form of a beautifully decorated young Celt who has just collected a Roman head as a trophy! Priced at $35/£26.50 and limited to 100 available worldwide.
FFL010 Mounted Legionnaire: Our latest addition to our mounted troops in the form of a stationary Legionnaire surveying the land ahead for any potential trouble. Wearing a kepi and fully kitted out for a long haul in the desert this will make an excellent addition to your boys in blue collection! Priced at $79/£59.99 and limited to 100 in number worldwide.
FFL 011 C/D Marching Legionnaire: A new version of our legionnaires this time with a revised lighter back pack load, trousers tucked into gaiters and different headwear to the first batch. Some of you may still be waiting for the A/B versions released last month and for this I do apologise. However the demand was very high and we had to go back to our factory and get another 50 sets made to cover orders. Our factory has only had time to make 50 sets (2 figures per box) so far of these new C/D marching figures, if orders exceed this then we will make another 50 sets. If there is a delay in receiving your order please bear with us as we work as fast as we can. Priced at $69/£50 for the 2 figures and limited to 50 sets available at present.
The Great War: GW017 Workshop Set, comprises 2 figures, table and pushbike. Will look ideal with our A7 tank released earlier in the year or with a WW1 vintage aircraft. Our set comprises mechanic repairing Maxim machine gun whilst an officer looks on, contemplating the next ground or aerial offensive maybe? Priced at $69/£59.99 and limited to 100 sets worldwide.
Berlin 1938: Three more SA policemen and a car this month to help with your traffic and parade control!
BER004 is a fine pose with our policeman beckoning on traffic with one hand whilst halting traffic with the other hand. Comes in traditional brown coat and red kepi for the A version with the B version coming in a blue coat to represent the Berlin police detachment of the SA.
BER005 comprises an officer with hands behind his back looking to the left. Will look great as per our photo inspecting BER006 or just as a casual parade observer. Once again available as an A brown coat version or a B blue coat version.
BER006 comprises an SA policeman stood to attention, will work great as a multiple set or as an individual. Comes in an A and B version same as BER005/006. All the above SA sets are priced at $35/£26.50 and limited to 100 in number worldwide.
BER009 Politzei Kubelsitzwagen: A very unique addition to our BER range in the form of a an open top police car with SA Police driver. I love the look of these 1930’s cars and I can only imagine what fun it must have been driving a car with no doors or a roof – seat belts were probably not an option then either! As this is a parade version there is not a speck of dirt on our vehicle, another SS Police version will be available later with a more worn look! Priced at $125/£89 and limited to 100 in number worldwide.
World War 2 V Series 005: As mentioned in earlier notes this month our Natter is now available, comes with 4 figures including Professor Bachem , Lothar Sieber the test pilot and two Luftwaffe mechanics. Priced at $199/£150 and limited to 100 in number. December will see the release of another very nice looking non aerial vehicle for this series, with at least 2 more aircraft and buildings to compliment this very popular range in 2014!
German Cavalry WH003/004: Following on from our very successful earlier release we have now produced two more German cavalry figures. These new pieces are wearing greatcoats and would appear to be on ‘picket duty’ or on a short range ‘scouting’ mission due to the light equipment carried by horse and rider. WH003 scans ahead through binoculars whilst his comrade WH004 takes a look behind to make sure there are no unwelcome surprises. Priced at $79/£59.99 each and each figure limited to 100 pieces worldwide.
Last but no means least our Club Figure 007 is Fritz Bayerlein the Defender of Normandy! Bayerlein was a General in the German army who served under Rommel in North Africa. He was later posted to Hungary with Panzer lehr, where he was instrumental in helping the Archbishop of Hungary from preventing the deporting of Jews in his area of operations. Panzer Lehr moved to Normandy during the Allied invasion in 1944 where it was virtually decimated, with Bayerlein only narrowly escaping the Allied carpet bombing of his division. Bayerleins division, Panzer lehr took part in the battle of the Bulge and then moved to the Ruhr pocket where they surrendered to the Americans in April 1945. Bayerlein was awarded the Knights Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords for his service to the Reich during WW2, only 100 figures are available and are free to all Gunn Club members who spend $150 or more thru our website.
All the above figures will be available around the 22nd of November and will be dispatched then. If you are receiving this email and do not wish to do then please reply and type ‘UNSUBSCRIBE’ and we will remove you from our mailing list.
Kind Regards
Vicki Lucas
