Really nice Duke. I'm glad to see you post some images of the Desert Village sets. I recently purchased one of the items and am looking forward to seeing how the scale/size will blend in with 1/32 scale (if it is not too large). Unfortunately the wall set (SP036) is retired and very hard to find. I like the multiple levels.

For the stable set, does the door open? Any interior? I do like the open archway for placement of a zundapp or smaller vehicle.

These village pieces are really nice as they can be used for multiple campaigns. Personally, I like them best with DAK and 8th Army. Great collection you have here and equally nice pictures. Thanks for sharing!

EDIT: I so want to play Rat Patrol with this little scene! Most excellent.

I like this one best:

Thanks WO.

I just got the Stable piece in today. It is a very nice piece, the interior of the open doorway is painted with detail however there are no opening doors. I put this scene together rather quickly tonight and just noticed a few things I should have done to make the pictures better. Oh well, I'll have to make another scene with these soon. I do like the desert villiage very much and they can be used for multiple lines/eras. As far as your question about the villiage pieces working with 1/32... I believe they would look ok. It might depend on the actual placement of the figures/vehicles and the perspective achieved. I have lots of 1/32 myself and have used the wall in a 1/32 scene and thought it looked good.

WO,

I took a couple of pictures just now that might help with your questions. I put a FOV Grant tank, a 21st Century Panzer III and Figarti British Tank Troops (1/32 scale instead of 1/30) and a 21st Century German officer in the scene to show how 1/32 scale would look. I put the figures close to a doorway and to me they actually look fine with scale. I wouldn't hesistate to use them with these desert villiage pieces in a diorama. Also included a shot of the interior of the stable open doorway, again no opening doors though.

Yep really like these desert buildings, interchangeable for me with Ancient Egypt, Life of Jesus, Sedan and Australian Light horse. Great to see your DAK use. Cannot wait for the new building featured in the latest Collector mag. Robin.

these are fantastic and very versatile pieces...I got all of them and some duplicates on "The Wall" section...Robin...these would work well with The Crusaders too...

Thanks much for the additional pictures Duke. That 21st Century Panzer III is one of my personal favorite pieces of my own collection. I love that tank! The Grant looks really well with the village as well. In looking at your 1/32 plastic figures (Ultimate Soldier), the height seems perfect for the doorways. In an on-line K&C leaflet I was looking at, I noticed that the 1/30th K&C figures seem to look large compared to the door of the village or shop house leading me to believe that 1/32 scale would be okay. Based on your pictures, I think they work very well.

I have the below pictured tabletop dio that I really don't want to part with as I get into 1/30 K&C. I plan to place the K&C stuff in a display cabinet and I could use the village pieces in the dio or for picture taking with K&C - another great use for the village. I've been slowly converting my dio to die cast and metal figures as sort of an upgrade. The village would add a whole new level of detail.

You might notice the Oasis Well toward the upper right of the picture. Can't wait to add the Shop House down the road.

The well seemed to work well with 1/32 (no pun intended):

K&C is awesome! The details of your Stable Building look even better close-up. They also provide the perfect backdrop for images. Thanks again for sharing.

EDIT: I'd like to garage my FoV Kubel in that stable building turning it into a Desert Fox HQ. Too cool!

I got all of them and some duplicates on "The Wall" section
Lucky!

Cannot wait for the new building featured in the latest Collector mag.
What piece is that Robin?

What about Andy and the Team coming up with right and left angle walls.

I am a great fan of all K&C sets, specially Classic Germans, WW1, ACW sets and most of all the great and detail set of diorama options that Andy and the crew provides us to be able to create our own dioramas. Having said that, the Desert Village and fortifications one is by far the one I like to most and I have been using the sets in many of my dios......Pitty is the fact that the fortification walls that came out along with the initial series are no longer available.....a good selection of houses, minarets and shops/stable are still available and recently a wood merchant house has been released....but the fortification walls are a big WISH MORE were around for although the gate way is still available the walls given that any one seriously considering a nice fort dio will need at least some 4 to six sets....quickly did away with the original offerings and now we are all dry
Cheers
