Basically, what I was suggesting to Wayne was creating a pic made up of three layers.
One layer would be an aerial view of the Thames River in London, a second of his model '109, and, thanks to Alec, a third of a He111.
To make the three pics mesh together, visually, I deleted the backgrounds from both Wayne's and Alec's model pictures.
Then I layered the model pics over a Google image of London.
When the three images are combined, this is the product:
I do this kind of thing all the time with my models.
Basically, it frees me from being constrained by the size limits of backgrounds that I experienced in the past.
In fact, I recall making that exact comment to a forum friend 2-3 years ago.
