Hey dudes:

So I've always wanted a collection of the French in Indochina in the 1950's. The problem is that no manufacture does a full line of this era. So what does a knuckleheaded collector do? That's right make your *&^%ing own.

This dio has been in the works for a while. I recently had a friend who makes wine cork boards, which are popular here due to the vicinity to Napa, show up randomly own day with a champagne cork board on a painted tri-color. It pretty much inspired me to get off my ginger behind and create this thing.

Big shout outs to Obee, who over a year ago, did the repaint on the K&C panhard. Additionally, to Brad for helping me out with Demarco Painting Services in order to get some of the figures repainted and converted over. Also to KGB who did the TGM mortar team repaints herself.

Keep it silly

Chris, looks fabulous. Great job. Mike will be thrilled that he could help in some small way in helping you make a great dio.

Chris mate, that is one awesome looking bit of scrub you have there! Like the little hut and big tree and I reckon you sunk a few wines there as well! :p

Chris,

thanks for the compliments about the repaint .... the armoured car almost gets lots in the jungle, so must be good camouflage??

Well done a great little diorama, and a great use of wine corks too :)

Turned out brilliant mate may i enquire where you got all the foliage from ??

You gotta love a good repaint well done Chris and all involved.

Very nice dio.
Yes I'd like to know where you got the foliage from too.

Hey dudes thanks for the kind words.

I found that foliage on ebay from a seller named Prassiri

He's got pretty decent rates. Just be advised that if you purchase from him you have to be very patient. He's on Thailand time and I'm guessing only goes to the post office once a month. You'll get your stuff, its just going to take time.

Keep it silly

A very interesting and unique display of the French campaign in Indo-China post-WWII.

I like the champagne cork board painted in tri-color.

Thanks, Raymond.
