A little glimpse of the my new Dieppe diorama coming out.
Modified K&C and Figarti products, and original markings on the Fighting Vehicles...

Well done on your Dieppe Raid diorama. Looks good !

What a absolute disaster this raid was for the allies. Handing over to the Germans many prisoners and their newly developed tanks. Although they did learn some important lessons for future invasions. Great to see your version, cannot remember any others on the forum. Looking forward to seeing some more scenes. Robin.

Excellent work! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Yes the whole thing was a Publicity Stunt.

They wanted Stalin to see that there seriously was a 2nd front
They wanted to attempt a large landing using a large allied task force.
They wanted combat experience for inexperienced troops.

The Navy outright refused to allow any modern destroyers to take part and only gave a few ww1 dated vessels.

Great effort, vehicles are magnificently transformed to reflect reality,
Just one small remark: your British troops ??
The figures in the diorama belong to the British 3th infantry Div; (they could easily have been transformed into Canadian troops, just changing their sleeve badges into the badge of the 2nd canadian Infantry Div, the blue formation patch)
The British troops envolved in the Dieppe raid to my knowledge were commandos ?

Hi Guy, you're right ... :salute::
The figures are not authentic.
Unfortunately, not just the signs, but the equipment of the soldiers is not 'credible either'.
At Dieppe were attacker soldiers are not was camouflaged helmet, a pick, a spade...
I did not have the heart to cut the figures :)
This was a little attention call - I hope that one of the manufacturers will come up with elements on this subject. Andy also reacted...
I think, it deserves commemoration from this is accidental (??? !!!) tragic event...

That's right bud. No. 3 and No.4 commandos.

There were also 50 American Rangers involved as well as some French forces.

Nevertheless a MAGNIFICENT effort

Congratulations on posting the first ever dio I've seen so far on Dieppe here in the forum! The customization of the AFV's is fantastic, and I more than understand and share your unwillingness not to convert the figures.
It will certainly be nice to see in the future a few Canadian troops wearing the correct uniforms and gear to depict those brave soldiers in an, from the start, ill fated (deliberately planned by their superiors) mission...

Can't wait to see the whole diorama bud from the looks of it it's going to be great!!
