Hey guys, as I said before the loft is getting done up, and I may be getting an extra £300 odd to spend on any of the following:

King and Country retired sets!

Scenic Items for dioramas!:D

King and country items which came out recently!

The retired sets I have been thinking about are:
DD73 - Souvenir Hunters
DD74 - Reach For The Sky
DD081 - At Attention
EA04 - 25lb Gun (2nd one for me)
BBA019 - M5 High Speed Tractor
BBG04 - Captured GIs
SP024 - Supply Depot

The Scenic items would be things like build-a-rama road maps, winter maps, JG bushes, bases, trees, foliage, JG winter bishes and trees and such!:)

The current king and country sets would be a choice between:

A) American BoB - Ambulance, Stretcher, truck, passengers, teenage prisoners, new shoes, german with K rations, over there, MP on bike, and artillery man walking with shells, and two new road signs, ruined church, ruined corner building, D-Day: piper, monty, grenadier, casualty, berlin round structure, bilboard, berghof structure!

B) The start of an RAF base, already have a hurricane and groundcrew, 82nd d-day minus 1, general gavin, 101st dodge w/trailer, but would like to add: hut, raf policeman, hugh dowding, sandy johnstone, ready and waiting, raf armourer, war is over for you fritz!:)

Need some help on deciding which ones to get lads!

I need the D-Day canadians and Monty for the XXX Corps diorama, as well as several Build-a-rama mats and scenic items like bushes and such!

Helllllpppppppp!:D

Thanks, Scott!:D

If I were considering a KC purchase at the mo, I would buy the current stuff. I really think all of that stuff is better than the retired sets you are thinking about getting. I would also consider buying real soon before the price hike on January 1.

I would have to say that if I were in your position I would go for the disco stuff the souvenier hunters is a great set as are others n that list. New stuff is just that new and, will be around a good while yet as monthly retirements are now a dribble

I would also stick with figures and AFV's as the companies which do dio stuff thats what they do and they will be there long after the sets are.

May be a case of: D-day piper, monty, grenadier, casualty, german mg42 set, german casualty, german walking wounded, casualty evacuation, collaboration:)

Admittedly, I think you could get more bang for your quid. I think you have a decent breakout there though.
