There is a huge membership on this forum but few members post their work on the Diorama Forum.....in some instants it appears to be more a chit chat forum than a diorama forum........Do most member just collect.... and very few attempt to "jazz up " their collections.....there is always "The usual Suspect " on the Forum but rarely do you see a new name in the various forums....this is not a complaint..merely an observation ........is it "She will be right Jack " attitude and leave it to someone else....or lack of interest by most of the members ?.....just curious...cheers TomB

Tom,
Can only speak for myself but being a dinosaur it took me ages to figure out how to use the tech involved with a computer forum eg.. how to post pics and resizing, editing and etc and I am still stumped half the time. So perhaps this is all so the case for some and it may be just to much of a hassel, no offence to anyone intended. I post in the K&C as 95% of my collection is K&C . Just can't answer really but each of us will have their own point of view.
Wayne.

You could have a point Wayne...I am a Dinosaur myself and it has taken me a long time to even learn how to post a pic...have not worked out yet how to include "I like" under the bottoms of picture's...maybe there are even people who have other interests more engrossing than their TS collections...cheers TomB

I'd really love to post some pic's, but for me it's a time issue. I'm hoping to have a crack and post a dio sometime over the winter?

I have to also say, seeing all the excellant talent on here is a little daunting at times.......^&grin

Mate just do it who cares what others think as long as your having fun.
Ive posted Dio,s and know one commented but who cares i enjoyed doing it.

i don't have any display space. I've barely got room to set up my work table. I like to make and paint figures, but so far they all end up in storage boxes.
Good one Mike...I guess there are quiet a few in the same boat....aint from lack of interest but lack of working space....cheers TomB

Tom,

It may well be that many forum members have trouble finding the time or have no space to make dio's. I have an issue with space at the moment so it's hard for me to come up with new look dio's. At the moment I just re-hash old dio's with different figures and vehicles but i would much rather create complete new dio's and permanent one's at that.

Tom

I grew up either playing with my Toy Soldiers till busted or lining them up in display cases or on shelves. I am not a dio maker nor will ever be. I am a row-ler plain and simple. Michael

I don't believe Tom's question has been answered. He was asking why aren't there more dios posted on the Diorama section. I've found that many collectors only look at sections of the Forum whose manufacturers they collect and generally not elsewhere so that unless they go to Dio section they won't see what others have posted in companies they don't collect.

Brad

I always thought the dio section was for mixed manufacturer dios with most single manufacturer dios in their respective manufacturer section. The manufacturer's section is at the top of the forum while the dio section is right at the bottom. Move the dio section to the top of the page and it would probably get more use.

I could not have expressed it better myself .....there are Dio's all over the forum.....I think you must have the manufacturers Dio's to show off their wares to their best effect....I love looking at dio's featuring the top TS manufacturers tanks..soldiers..aircraft etc.....I think the system as it is ....is...working okay.... The dio section at the bottom of the forum...I think is for the forum members to show off their little pride and joys.....and in my MHO it is under used.....we have heaps of members on the forum but very few bother to get involved ( Mind you some of the discussion do get a bit heated).....I would love to see more members come out of their shell and post a few dio's ,,As a members Dio you dont need to be an expert.. join in the fun.....there are some good idea's out there...share them......anyway that's my two cents worth......I really appreciate my being able to post my bits and piece's here and I enjoy other people's work....cheers TomB

I forget that people have to work for a living and dont have the time and space and if you have kids you dont have the time...space and money to do a great deal of anything.....I have been retired since 2000...the kid have left home.and I tend to forget the harsh reality of normal life....I think your idea of rehashing is great...lot of enjoyment there...cheers TomB

After reading your post and Jazzeum's ..I have visited a couple of different forums...TGM and a couple others and found most of these forum member remain within their respective forums and do not engage in the other general Tree Frog forums....Chat ..discussions...there are indeed a lot of members on this forum but it seems most of them keep a low profile except for within their own site's of interest....I think I will follow their example and keep my gob shut in future....thanks for your input...cheers TomB

Thanks Wayne, yeah I should simply just have a crack at it, it's good fun, plus it's nice to share stuff with the forum. Once I've finished throwing paint on the house, it will be my next project for the cooler months mid year..........thats going to impress the Mrs's....say-what^&grin

Tom mate, this is a good thread you've started here and as you can see from the posts very relivent. I wouldn't keep ya gob shut mate, keep it open and pat yourself on the back for starting this!
Cheers.

I'm disappointed, I thought Tom was asking a forum for Ronnie James Dio. ;)

Prost!
Brad

(But seriously, though--I don't currently build any dioramas, because I just don't have the room to display them. I have some ideas for a couple of them, but I have to finish remodeling work on my house, which includes converting a spare room into my model room/library)

Well, if you are going to do a diorama, do it LARGE.:smile2:

Impressive doesn't even begin to describe that. Must have taken years to paint that many figures. Imaigne trying to dust them!
