Which one should I get - the G or B ?

I noticed in in some B&W pictures the Panzer crews are not wearing BLACK (B) at all ^&confuse

The Heer panzer crew special uniforms were made as from 1934 onwards; a double breasted tunic , of a black coloured material . In the beginning this jacket ( wrapper) was only allowed to be worn when the crew was with the tank or armored vehicle, including half tracks. Away from the vehicle they had to wear the grey-green service dress uniform. This changed by the end of 1940 when the service dress uniform was no longer issued to the tank crews.
Crews of SS assault guns and tank detroyer units were equiped with the same wrapper design but made from stocks of grey-green wool. The drill uniform of the Waffen SS was the same. Towards the end of the war panzer and assault gun crews were wearing whatever they could lay their hands on
Hope this answers your questions and is of some help

Thank you Guy

Found a write out here on Heer Assault Gun Uniforms

http://www.panzerworld.com/uniforms-heer-assault-guns

The uniform selected by the High Command for the crews of assault guns and tank destroyers was the same as the black panzer uniform but in the gray-green color. The primary reason for the change in color was camouflage and the counter-intelligence given when black uniforms were spotted in the field. Unlike the panzer troops, assault gunners and reconnaissance crews were required to exit their vehicles to conduct advanced sweeps and the black panzer uniforms were ill-suited for this task.

There is also some differences too for the Waffen-SS Black Panzer Uniform according to the website

http://www.panzerworld.com/uniforms-waffen-ss-black

The panzer jacket, or wrapper as referred to by collectors because of it's double-breasted front, is made of black wool and is short-waisted and has no exterior pockets. The Army version had a seam down the middle of the back while the Waffen-SS style didn't. The Army version had a larger collar and pointed ends on the collar while the Waffen-SS style had a smaller collar and rounded tips. Finally, The Army version had more of a wrap and the front edge cut back diagonally whereas the Waffen-SS style didn't wrap as much and was cut straight down.

Good question this, I was wondering the same thing myself. Are a big fan of the 'resting' tank/AV type figures which K&C do so well, along with their tank riders and 'seated' sets.

Always enjoy reading about the history of uniforms too, so many thanks to Guy for helping to answer this one.

Nice pic of the 38T too and as always great 'Grey' displays Wayne mate.

Cheers fella's.

K&C has gone to some figures without bases, like these sets. What is the height of these figures?
