This is an excellent looking figure. I also hope that a whole release of these figures are planned. It would be quite something to have an entire pioneer unit or storm troop with gas masks. Just as a matter of interest, it appears that the figure is carrying a large, metal cannister on his back for the fuel. This is a type of flamethrower that was used with a two man crew. One carried the cannister and one man operated the nozzle. The one-man type of flamethrower was known as the Wex, and consisted of a inner-tube shaped cannister for the man to carry on his back. It was much smaller and lighter than the two-man version. The Wex was the main flamethrower weapon used from 1917 on. -- Al
Does anybody know if more of these Germans with gas masks are being planned?
I'm ordering this one and am hoping it's not just a one off as I have a dio (well actually a photo) in mind.
