Dispatches are up!! (1 Viewer)

WS189 the SS Inspecting Officer is obviously the figure from the recent Collector many of us thought was a slouching Hitler from behind.

The holzbrenner version of the VW. With dubious suspension on the grey variant!!!! Looks like it was not Hitler only a general which, is a shame even enlarging the screen it did not look like a general. would go well in a winter setting

Overall a rather light dispatch I think many would have expected the RAF bowser

I just tried ordering some of the retired items and the K&C website says "sold out". If you need anyhing get in to your dealer quick. Also tried ordering some extra of the LAH civilians and each on the website says "out of stock". Must have been very popular to have sold so quickly.

Love the Volkswagen, very nice, I'll probably go for AK version myself. The Berlin defenders are good too, I particularly like the MG Team and the guys on bikes, something different and very good. The USAAF figures are also nice releases^&cool:salute::. Some good news for Alamo fans too!

Rob -I like the Volkssturm on bikes too. And thanks for your postings today.

Not sure I would want to ride a bicycle with a couple of panzerfausts pointed at my face. Careful of the potholes.

Lots of neat stuff, as usual. Lots of retirements, too. Several I need to get before they go bye-bye. Anyone notice that the WS134 SS Inspecting General is wearing an Army cap and Army collar patches? The VW's are really good looking, as are those Naps. -- Al

Too bad the Bowser wasn't there but maybe that's next month. VW is quite an interesting release.

The German officer figure seen several weeks ago in the new K&C quarterly was thought to be a hunched over Hitler. Fooled me too !! ^&confuse

Polarbear,

Regading the retirement of the wall and tower I would think a very big factor would also be storage space (same goes for the Nissan Hut). Hopefully some more desert village pieces being planned.

A lot of retirements in one go, some of which already sold out at K&C.

VW's going to be popular.

Thanks for putting up images Rob.

Well the hammer finally fell, for the first time in a long while we've got a large number of retirements. Definitely a few pieces in there that I'll have to consider picking up ASAP. With all the U.S. D-Day retirments I'm sure the way is being paved for new D-Day Americans this summer.
As for the new releases it seems like a light month to me. No real "must haves" but some nice and interesting releases from the Alamo and late war Germans. As a long suffering BALTIMORE ORIOLES fan I'm disgusted, apalled and outraged by the new USAAF pieces. I find their baseball caps offensive! Yankees and Red Sox's ahhhhhhhh. Still looking forward to the RAF Fuel truck in the not to distant future.

I don't understand why 2 of the desert buildings are already being retired, especially the wall since K&C has such a wide variety of desert subjects that these can be used for.
I agree totaly - why this very usefull item is no retired ?

I would imagine sales have slowed down as those who want it have it already and perhaps a different styled section will be added in the future to compliment the existing section.

No probs Brett.

Nothing for me this month which is disappointing but funds will go to other makers for sure. The only WWII I will still buy are for the North African campaigns. We need more Brits and Aussies to fight Rommel's forces. No more space or excitement for the European theaters. Crusades and Napoleonics are still most appealing to me.
I am also surprised about the desert village retirements. About a year ago I asked Andy if he would consider some additional wall sections (right and left angles) to build a complete enclosure. I thought this would bode well for a crusader siege and even Khartoum. Andy seemed positive on the idea.
Either K&C is redesigning or issuing new village structures or they just dont sell that well. Perhaps Andy is seeing too many of his village pieces being used with Britains and JJD Sudan War figures!

Kind of a blah month, I do like that bug though and I think the bicycles are nicely done. The Mexican lancer however....
