Dispatches are up! (2 Viewers)

some of the Muslim and Bosnian SS units actually did use Camels. Perhaps, that's next. Rather light dispatches unless I suppose your into the stuff released!!!

Nice aircraft though and that's about it for me

I am going to be all over the AVG Tiger and the two pilots. They just look fantastic and I have been waiting for these for a long time. This is an accurate rendition of Jernstedt's "88" as it appeared in January, 1942, while a flight leader for 3rd Squadron, based in Kunming. The details all look right to me, from the markings to the camo pattern. This is a real beauty. -- Al

The 2 pilots are wonderful: face,colours, clothes, movings...

Glad John got some Naps on his Birthday! For me the Easy 8 and US Bulge figs are top of this Dispatch, looking forward to seeing them in London next month. Custers last stand looks a very interesting release too^&cool

Rob

Same thing here, the Chicago released U.S. Bulge are my pick. The P-40 looks nice, start thinking about it...

Nothing of interest for my collection this month..........and that's OK. Lots of really nice releases though. Finally TRW fans have something to celebrate ( the series has a pulse ) and I think K&C have done a good job of also telegraphing the upcoming releases for it. Naps and camel Aussies are some really nice sculpts/paints. The standout for me is the Flying Tiger however I jumped on the desert RAF version awhile back ( one of my absolute favourites ) so I won't be picking that one up.
Another big chunk of retirements, may have to look into picking up Monty, Stug and winter patrol soon. As always I am looking forward to the future releases especially OMG. ^&cool

NOPE!!!!!. Nothing for me this time, but i"m okay with that i can save my money to spend at the coming London show!!!!.

Hugh hole in my wallet for these dispatches. 7th Cavalry, fort and Light Horse, I mean camel. Been wanting to get some cowboys and indians to go back to where it all started with the plastic figures in the cereal box as a kid, the circle has been completed. Thanks Andy for the ride, cheers, Robin.

Does anybody happen to have any pictures of the 7th cavalry yet or any K&C cowboys that has been mentioned in this part of the forum? Thanks:^&confuse^&confuse

Really like the P-40 Flying Tiger and the pilots Hill and Jernstedt. Excellent looking paint job on all three.

Nice ICC figures. Not being controversial for controversial's sake but as nice as the K&C figures look, Black Hawk's Custer figures do compare very favourably.

Other than the P-40 Warbird and figures, a break from WWII for a month but justly so. Everything has just been released either in the last 2 months or the upcoming
few weeks. Like the shots of the latest batch of "classic Germans". The 7th Cavalry figures look pretty hot, especially for those interested in the era. I am considering
getting the Custer figure along with the 7th Cav Guidon bearer.Being a former Cav soldier it would be a nice pick up for me ^&grin
Again another shout out to Rob for doing another great job with Dispatches {bravo}}

Nothing much for me this November, but never mind, will allow me to catch up on the BBG and BBA new figures and AFV's
guy:)

I agree with you about the 7th Cavalry , they do look good...Keep thinking of George Custer as Errol Flynn from his film They Died With Their Boots On...Great actor...My brother was an Army Cavalry Scout in Iraq , so i am in for these...

The P 40 looks nice. Always wanted the wood version but this will do quite nicely. Just when I thought Andy had lost interest in American history, I was pleasantly surprised by Custers Last Stand. A nice surprise and considering the popularity of the Custer thread a couple of years ago, this may do very well.

I am going to hate myself in the morning, but the flag bearer is described as Myles Keough and Custer's personal flag. Not likely as Keough's body was found with most of his command. Both his and Calhouns' troop were set up as a rear guard and most were cut down in place. Both officers were found in their respective battle positions surrounded by SGT's and in Keough's case his own troop guidon bearer. I do love the figures though..Michael

Glad John got some Naps on his Birthday! Rob

YES, very pleased with all 8 mounted figures, they will look great 'on parade'

:smile2::smile2:

BUT .....

I will need financial backing to include them into my collection.....

:(:(

The 6 Grenadiers de la Garde Imperiale are $654

The 2 General Officers $ 230

and if you take into account last month's wonderful 5 x Dromedarie Corps from Napoleon in Egypt at $575

thats $1475 for the 2 month's NAP releases....

Oh well, looks like I will be taking in more painting projects to fund my desires :redface2::redface2:

Whats coming next.... Wayne ? Howard? Luiz? Robin? Tom?

John
