That building really compliments the figures, another Michael special no doubt. Robin.

Did you make that temple Mike?Man if you did you should really go into business. Not into Greeks but use to collect Conte Romans.

You got a great looking display there. The new K&C Persians won me over and I hope to be receiving my first Greeks soon.

Best Regards

Does this mean you are expanding your collection to an ancient era????

Another cabinet or 2.. I suppose :) :)

Still, they are so colourful and look so good..... !!!

I do collect the K&C Ancient Egyptians and Medieval series...and yes you're right...they are very colorful...that is one thing that attracted me to them...

and if I build one more cabinet...I can really get organized...^&grin

thanks Robin...thanks Mark...I didn't really make it...I cast the duplicate columns in resin from a single column I bought at the Texas Toy Soldier Show...then just painted them and glued it all together on some plasterd foam board...

No mate i don't but looking at these pics i wish i could.

thanks Wayne...I answered your email...did you get it?

I blame them on the new Persians. You know how I connect the old Silk Road across Asia, starting with the Imperial Chinese/3 Kingdoms series. So naturally, I had to get the Persians and now the Greeks too. {sm3}

Besides them Mamelukes are pretty slow in coming. :p

I think the mistake with this line was waiting too long to release the enemy. Sure the greek city states fought each other but I think the Persians is what everyone was waiting for... I plan to jump into this line.....

Very nice diorama's highlighting the Greeks and Persians. This series is still really in its infancy compared to other K&C lines. I think we can look forward to many more releases. I like all the ancient series and although I haven't dabbled in this line yet I intend to rectify that oversight in the not to distant future. My collection definitely needs a sample of these pieces. ^&cool

I don't think I can even recall the last greek diorama on this board....

I did one when I received the second offering of the Hoptlites...but I have never seen any others or heard of anyone on the forum that collects these...

thank you...and I do hope the series is in it's infancy...I will continue to collect these as long as K&C puts them out...

the original release was AG001-AG008...back in November of 2011...
which by the way are retired now...
AG009-AG012 was released in late 2012...
then AG013-AG015 was released in 2013...
I believe...

so yea...this series was a little neglected...and yes their opponent was a little neglected too...

my original diorama depicted the Hoplites engaged with each other in battle...

with the introduction of the Persians recently...I hope Andy will be devoting some attention to it now...

I know KingsX store has...or had...last time I visited it...a really nice display of multiple figures of the Hoplites on their showroom floor...

I'm anxious to see what they have done with that diorama now that the Persians have been introduced...

Dear Mike

I am a happy camper with today's new releases for MAY. The 3 advancing hoplites with sarissas are being issued refreshed. A modest representation of the famous phalanx is now possible. ^&grin

The question now is ... how many to get ;)

I think you will really enjoy these...they are very colorful and well painted...reminding me of the Medival series figures...I just ordered the 7 new sets of Hoplites...

I added my 7 new Hoplites to my shelf today....they look great...as my Greeks grow in numbers...I can only hope some more Persians might make an appearance soon...I wonder if Andy would consider an elephant for the Persians...I would definitely buy a couple of those...and the same thing goes for chariots...definitely I would take several of those...
