Does any one recognize this set of native riflemen in traditional dress. They are marked on the bottom N L71 (I think) and measure 2 1/4" with moveable arms. If you can let me know the maker and what the set is suppose to represent. Thanks in advance

They are a Nostalgia set, issued by Shamus OD Wade back in the 1970s. https://forum.treefrogtreasures.com/...-Figures/page2

See two photos in first post in the thread.

I dug up a Nostalgia catalogue. This is set N147 Mosquito Indians, c1845. Figures designed by Andrew Rose. Figures in that particular catalogue were produced between August 1975 and December 1977.

Thank you very much for all the information, it is a great help.

Mike, does the catalog tell how many figures are in this set? Thanks

Wade followed the Britains Ltd convention of one officer and seven other ranks in a standard infantry set. Below is a partial scan of the Nostalgia brochure with your guys. They are the third and fourth figures from the left. The brochure only showed the different figure types for each set, and no set numbers. I hope the pic is big enough - I wasn't able to upload it full size due to forum limits on image size. scan 2 jpg.jpg

Quick comment - I have noticed over the years that these sets get broken up and separated b/c they are usually from large collections and most of the time, the people boxing up the sets find 7 figures that look alike and in a lot cases the 8th Officer is usually very different and gets separated. Anyhow, confirm typically all 8 figure sets as previously posted.
