"Don’t want no Merc… don’t need no Maserati too!" (1 Viewer)

This thread is classic forum stuff...

Andy being overly sensitive (Come on, your products are great - let it go!!!)

Brad being anything other than a moderator (just admit you worship KC!!!)

Oberstoskar having a pop at KC (Does he work for First Legion!!!)

Ron writing in bold (does he have poor eyesight!!!)

:D:D:D

Ha ha,
at least you agree with me that Mr. Andy is a sensitive man. BTW I really look forward to meet him in person in Hong Kong

but you're wrong that oberstoskar works for FL. Oberstoskar works for K&C (in terms of a big chunk of my spending goes to Andy's bank account each month)

I agree with you on the function and have never had any issues with anyone's expression of their opinions. My observations were directed at the seeming absoluteness of your criticism of the Toyota and Aston Martin comparisons (someone else's opinions), not your opinion of them. My point was to note that it is not so simple or so absolute. Sometimes the shorthand of our comments does not translate so well.;) Honestly, the idea of comparing something as subjective as the quality of these figures to something as subjective as the merits of different automobiles is absurd on its face. For example, there are many people that think the Cadillac currently makes the best sport sedan. Toyota in fact makes a quality product and is quite successful, so it is odd to me that someone would consider that comparison a slight. Of course the idea of being offended by being labeled a Mercedes is beyond laughable and as noted, the comparison may be quite apt. I do think that 1st Legion has advanced the quality of these figures by more than a simple limited edition for reasons that I have elaborated several times already so there is no need to repeat them yet again.:)

Fair enough. I will try to couch my opinions in less absolute language. I also agree with Ken Osen and you that the "car industry" analogy is not a good means of comparing products in a small hobby like this one. Frankly, I am thrilled that we are involved in a hobby where the biggest companies involved are small enough to be accessible to individual collectors like those of us on this forum.

Couldn't agree more on that Louis. Can you imagine getting a Mercedes senior executive on the line?;):D

Andy is sensitive because he commented about something that was written/said about his company?

Re: "A Man's Gotta Do...What a Man's Gotta Do!"

Hi Guys,

This forum has been a fantastic way for collectors… dealers… and manufacturers to get to know and appreciate each other and have all kinds of great dialogue too!

That said I like to participate as well... after all I’m a collector as well as a manufacturer.

I also truthfully believe that I’m not being “over-sensitive” if and when I comment and/or reply on any aspect of the forum that directly relates to K&C and what we do.

As many of you know I’m certainly no “shrinking violet” when it comes to discussing any aspect of K&C either publicly or privately. So, why should I “censor” myself when I disagree with anybody else’s comments.

If I like something I say so… If I don’t I usually keep quiet… If I disagree with something I say so upfront… That is being “overly sensitive”??? I don’t think so.

Anyway, love us or hate us… but for Gawd’s sake don’t ignore us!

And, among friends, we can always be frank… Sinatra that is not Barney!!!

Love ‘n’ kisses,
Andy C.

HA! Very Funny and well done....

When I said what I did about Figarti, I said it not as the moderator, not as a friend of Andy's but as a collector (and most of my collection is K & C although I do have some Figarti, Somerset, Beau Geste and Trophy). Moreover, it's nothing I haven't said to Rick before so I don't think he'll be overly shocked.

I think "this" has been missing from our conversation .....

NAPOLEON !

:D :D :D :D :D

If there is an extra Maserati around when the dust clears, I will take it. This is one of the strangest discussions in a while.

Agreed,,I drive Mercedes and Masers,,race on my X box Forza program that is,and both are enjoyable in different ways. I once attended "Vintage Mercedes days" in Palm Beach and a parade of Gullwings were making circuits on the track with the doors up,,fortunate to be going pretty slow as a driver owner looked away for a moment and actually rear ended the 300 SL in front.Of course as the horrified silence overtook the place ,the announcer said "Well thats the way the Old Mercedes bends" over the P. A. system
