I picked these up at a show today and was told that they were made by collectors show by special order??? and that it was a VERY limited set of only 12 sets of 4 figures? Any one here know anything about these figures???

There great looking figures and the style and painting looks like something that CSC would do, either way they are great looking figures and I,m glad I picked them up.

I saw those at a show today too! Did you get TWO sets? Or are those pics just from the show?

I picked up 5 figures from a dealer named Carl Hoegermeyer, he knows the guy who had the sets made. He told me that the guy wanted these figures for himself but could only get them made if he ordered at least 12 sets. So I guess he had the 12 sets made and sold off what he didn,t want to keep for himself???

Carl was given the rest to sell off and Carl also gave a set to Matt from Hobby Bunker to sell also, so there were two full sets at the show. I bought the 5 figures that Carl had with him(one figure was a double, there are only 4 different figures) And he gave one set to Matt so I,m not sure which table you saw them on?
The figures in the photo are the ones I bought and the picture were taken at my house not at the show.
I wonder if Mat sold the other set???

Tim,
Nice to see you today, glad you were able to pick these up and looks like you already have put them to good use, a great addition to your collection.

A real head scratcher as to why these were not produced in larger quantities, they are terrific, maybe Brian can shed some light on this........................

Thanks George! It was great seeing you today also.
I,ll have to give you a call soon, you had a few figures I was interested in today but I was tapped cash wise, these figures killed my show money.
I,ve been on a tight budget these days.
I hope you did well at the show.

Tim,
If it were I, I would have been all over those Cossacks, the fact that you were able to get one of the sets is awesome, this is what the shows are all about, finding rare items that dealers like Carl and others come up with and make available to show attendees.

Just a spectacular addition to your collection, glad you the hard core Napoleonics collector was able to get...............

Just great! Would buy them!

Tim...congrats on your rare Russian Cossacks find...sounds like you unearthed a treasure...they really look nice...

Sounds like a very interesting range. The figures look very good and a very good acquisition

CS reply seems to indicate expanded Napoleonic releases.........
Maybe the 1812 Russian campaign? The Penninsular War or even Early Empire?
It would be exciting for Napoleonic collectors to have ranges other than Waterloo!:)

Hear! Hear! I REALLY like the Russian releases of other companies. I personally would like to see Austrians, Spanish and Portuguese figures down the road.

Yes, but how would they sell? They would certainly have to be short runs don't you think?

I personally believe Collectors Showcase should stick with Waterloo for their main releases because there is so much still to cover. This period/battle has worldwide appeal and involved many European countries.
However, the occasional release of say 1812 Russia or the Peninsular in lowish quantities would test the water for potential sales.
I would personally buy everything Waterloo :D:Dand everything Peninsular :D:Dbut I would not buy a thing for 1812 Russia :(as I have no interest in this.
That is just my opinion so don't shoot me for it.;)
I suppose if CS needs the feedback from buyers a poll would be the best way to gauge opinion.

Certainly Penninsular War could be popular and many of the French and British units wore similar or the same uniforms at Waterloo. Spanish regulars and guerillas along with Portuguese should sell well.

I also think "Napoleon in Egypt" might be very exciting for collectors of this period. Uniforms were especially varied and colorful. Mameluke cavalry and camels are definite sellers.

Getting back to Waterloo French Fusiliers to create a column and Prussians are sorely needed.

All of the above are very intriguing no doubt!, how about caissons? What about ideas for equiptment and baggage, casualties and the like: anyone?
