THANK YOU :D I love this thread !:D

Best,John

I am very pleased you like the thread John but I have posted all the Dorset sets I have, perhaps other collectors will add their goodies;)

Cheers

Martyn:)

Hi Mike

That is a nice set but I don't think it is Dorset. I can't find the Officer to compare but the other 3 figures are different. My horse handler has a hole through the palm of his hand (painful, I know:eek:) that allows him to hold the reins of the 3 horses.

Cheers

Martyn:)

A mystery to me also....The third horse is lying down to povide cover for the NNH. Hmmph:confused:

Now the set John is talking about....VERY NICE!

Does anyone have information on the status of Dorset Soldiers ?

I have been unable to connect to the Dorset website at: http://www.dorsetsoldiers.com

If I recall rightly, the website was updated recently, but connection seems impossible for the past 2 weeks.

Raymond...Just checked-works for me:)
Maybe you need to wrap the tinfoil tighter around the scalp area:D

Raymond,
Anything we can help you with? Looking for something in particular?
Mike

Raymond, It is working in Chicago.

Does Dorest retire sets or do they produce them to demand.

Hi Mike,

No, there is nothing specific.

I just wanted to have a look at the AZW figures, especially the Studio 112 collection.

When I was upgrading from 1/72 scale to 1/32 scale, I looked at Dorset, Imperial, Alymer and some others.

Eventually, I went with Trophy and I have no regrets.

I was a bit late starting on Trophy, but better than never.

Thanks, Raymond.:)

Brian,

Mr. Giles Brown started the company in 1976 and it is still going strong when others have folded.

I think he deals mainly in castings. However, you can request for sets to be painted in either gloss or matte.

You can email Mr. Giles Brown if you are interested in any sets.

His figures are thinner and not as stocky as Trophy and Little Legion.

By the way, I have got my connection to the website.

Thanks, Raymond.:)
