Top of the Morning to you.my mailing address is Len Taylor ,Marengo,131 Plassey Street,Penarth,Vale of Glamorgan,CF64-1EQ.
The last half dozen sets were made in our first tiny factory in Sully ,by now we were boxing our figures curtesy of a bank loan.I thought to make these sets a little different we included Bobbie the dog,also making his escape,.
It is amazing how when something like this crops up it gets the old grey cells going potty !In the story it says his bat-man catchs a stray horse and puts Watson on it ,had a couple of spare gun team horses ,used them on the first batch,not sure about the last ones.
Our street is named for the Battle of Plassey in India in the days of Clive of Plassey as he was known before the Clive of India.

Thanks again for this extra info. My set does not have Bobbie the dog, did all the sets have him?

Can I ask when were the sets produced and any idea how many made it to the market place?

Here is a portrait of the 66th Regiment of Foot making their final stand at Battle of Maiwand against the Afghans.

The final stand was made by 2 officers and 9 soldiers of the 66th Foot outside the village of Khig.

Bobbie the dog is in the foreground.

Picture 1: Queen Victoria awarding the Afghan War Medal to Bobbie the dog, survivor of the Battle of Maiwand, and other members of the 66th Foot at Osborne House

Picture 2 Bobbie was accidentally run over and killed by a hansom cab in Gosport. He was stuffed and can be seen today at the regimental museum in Salisbury, decorated with an unknown soldier's Afghan War medal

This is a colour picture of the actual Bobbie, he appears to have brown fur ears and brown fur around the eyes, not pure white

It is good to know that Bobbie was appropriately honoured in the aftermath and is remembered by the regiment.

She was quite a lady.....

The sets of the 66th Regiment by Trophy are not easy to find now and the cost of Trophy on eBay is quite prohibitive.

I am not sure if Trophy made sets that may be displayed in diorama to depict the final stand of the 2 officers and 9 men (plus Bobbie) of the 66th Regiment at the Battle of Maiwand.

So, I guess my answer is not likely in the near future.

Perhaps, Martyn may oblige.....

Looking forward to the picture Al. Len tells me that this looks like one of the first sets that were sold without Bobbie the Dog, by the way Len also said that all the sets were hand made, there is no mould in existence for it.
