Nicely done! I'm still partial to Tamiya's armor, myself, though I recognize the newer makers have very good kits.

Did you add the Zimmerit to the Tiger yourself, or is it molded on? I built that kit as a kid, but I think mine was bare armor. If you added it, what method did you use? I used to use Shep Paine's tip to use spackle and a razor saw ;D

Prost!
Brad

Do you have any of the Tamiya 1/35 Masterwork range ? they do some nice stuff

Thanks Brad. I have Shep's books and made the Zimmerit from putty and a razor saw along with a small screwdriver. I have a Dragon late Tiger with molded Zimmerit on the model. However the kit is complicated with many tiny parts and photo etched parts. I had to put it away for awhile. It was making me crazy. My wife said pitch it! I will try again when I regroup. I think Tamiya has better instructions and less errors on diagrams. John

No, I never acquired a Tamiya model but I keep looking for a sale on them in the hobby websites. John

What a blast down memory lane I have built nearly all of the Tamiya WWII range many times and these pics are great. I wish I had a pound for every hour I must have spent sitting doing zimmeritt

Did anyone else notice the motar team from Tamiya was the exact version that was released in 1/30th scale as NMA first release???
