Anyone got one of these ugly :) old things that they're prepared to part with for a reasonable price?

I've seen them go for prices I'm not prepared to pay on eBay, and I've seen them go for prices that make me kick myself for missing it too (more than once I'm afraid).

Sorry, for those that can't remember, that's the Field Gun Tractor!

That's an absurd price. They should go for half that.

I got both the truck and the howitzer for $300 over a year ago from a small hobby store in Australia who is not a K&C vendor but brought some K&C pieces in to sell and was clearing them out when I found them on a search. I also go the 4 figure set Australian attack. The store sold mainly diecast cars from his 2nd floor shop, but I can't remember the store's name or even which city it was in. In any case, they have no more K&C.

I would estimate the truck could be had on e-bay for $200

I think it was Modelmania in Melbourne - they kept the photos on their website for a while after they sold them ... I know because I offered to buy them, then they were taken off the site shortly afterwards. At least it was a Treefrogger that got them!

You're right. It was Modelmania. And the only reason I got them was by doing a very sophisticated internet search long after those 3 sets were sold out, and there was still one of each in a store that did not stock King & Country. I think the owner said his son had ordered them but as they were not getting into selling K&C, they just wanted to clear them out.

I still have the 3 sets as part of my 8th Army range.
