Eagle Design Flakpanzer Wirbelwind (1 Viewer)

Looks great mate but I would be worried about getting the thing in pieces! The 4 barrel gun is a delicate piece and unfortunately ED has a tendency of being a hit or miss with factory quality. That said, I would be keen to hear opinions from people that buy one.

I've already bought some models of ED directly in China, so far they've all been undamaged.

Maybe it's because of transportation outside China or I was just lucky.

I have received several ED models without problems. I find in the US customs inspections can be more of a problem than shippers or packaging. The packaging of the ED Kingtiger was excellent.
Thick foam sheets and a heavy card board box. EMS is an excellent shipper; but I have had antiques damaged in transit from Japan.

Drop anything hard enough and no matter how well packaged it will bend or break. I had products being damaged in shipments by air and I packed a digital shock gauge with the product and it registered a 100 G impact when the aircraft landed!

I have received quite a few models from ED and most have come intact and are great but I have also received some tanks that are clearly factory faults and/or damaged and are not from customs inspections (boxes not opened for inspections) or shipping. What worries me with this model is the 4 barrel flak as these are difficult to make and are very delicate. I have a number of TGM Flakvierling's and most came intact but I was told many came in pieces!

The price of the ED Wirbelwind is excellent (especially in this market) so hopefully they have taken great care in producing them and packing them up in the box.

ED readily replaces any items that are broken in transit, so not really a big deal there. Definitely not a concern that would keep me from ordering.

Yes, this is true but it's a hassle as ED wants the damaged or not made properly item returned and in my case it involved packing up the item, paying for the return postage and then getting a refund.

Agree Tom it is a hassle and a pain in the bum

Yeah Neil, it's gotten to a point with me where I'm hesitate to buy anymore ED stuff no matter how good they look in the pic's
