Eagle Design Short Barrel Panzer IV's (1 Viewer)

Actually its a non-issue.

One of the assembly firms actually mounted them backwards when assembling them, so its historically accurrate.

Panzer IV tracks can function mounted either way.

Personally I'd prefer that they were mounted CORRECTLY in the "usual customary" way for WWII Panzer IV's....I highly doubt that ED did this intentionally being aware of a WWII factory anomaly for purposes of "historical accuracy" in this case.:rolleyes2:....Looks like an error to me.:wink2:

Most likely they based it on a model that was based on a picture with the tracks mounted backwards.

If it bugs you, OK. Pretty low on the list of stuff I worry about.

Steve, I'm not "worried" about any of this :rolleyes2: .....After all it's just a toy tank we are talking about.........But to me it seems to be a manufacturer's blunder to mount the tracks upside down . I highly doubt this error was intentional just an ED oversite

There are plenty of images of panzer IV's on the net, taken during the war and from museum collections, which show the tracks mounted the exact same way as the ED version.

Rec'd the winter version today. Very plsd with the detail, especially for the price. One question. ANyone having a problem fitting the turret into the base? I'm afraid it will break the tabs on the turret or the base. Chris

According to my last Email from Y-weido the AK and Winter Tiger I should be available in June 2018. Keep your eye on the website; I check it daily!

So much for the winter and AK Tigers appearing in June, I just checked his Ebay Store! I wonder if there's an issue with production?

Hi Chris, I had this issue with my camo Tiger, it was a bit tight fitting the turret into the base as well but it eventually fitted. All I did was persevere and it eventually fitted.

Curious and not sure if this has been adressed on the forum. How’s the packaging of the tanks and armored vehicles? Not shipping but for general storage?

Standard foam inside inner box. Interestingly, the outter shipping box had been crushed on the top but no damage to the model. Chris

Maybe it doesn't make sense, but you would think the turret would slip in the notches for the tabs in both directions, but in mine I had trouble one way, rotated 180 degrees and the turret slid in nicely.

Very nice model!

I only added some more dirt and grime to the lower areas, tracks and wheels.
Might post some images down the road

As for packing, these models are very well packed with foam but bside a box, which is then packed insude another larger box. This is my third model from ED and I highly recommend them.

What about the light color? Seems battleship grey rather than panzer grey

When you have the time please post pictures of your ED vehicles.
