Just wanted to share the Eagle Designs German SdKfz 250/9 leichter Schützenpanzerwagen (light armored personnel carrier) reconnaissance halftrack model that I got recently. It’s a decent little model with good detail, paint, and weathering. The model seems to be almost exactly 1/30 scale and fits quite well with First Legion or War Park figures (First Legion figures being used in my setup). The ED vehicle appears to have been inspired by the vintage 1980s ESCI/ERTL 1/72 scale kit. SdKfz 250/9 reconnaissance halftracks were first used in 1942 on the Eastern Front, so the grey is OK in this case…

That’s one neat machine, the 250’s are my favourite half tracks. From memory I think there are 11 with different roles of use. Robin.

Great work tman :salute::

This model seems to have been of a slow burner for Eagle Designs. I think if they had done a Camouflage version it would of been a quick seller and same applies for the recent anti tank model they did.

Exactly a Normandie version, would sell like **** off a shovel. As long as compatible with War Park - First Legion size figures.

But would cost a bit more for the CAMO paint job i would assume.

Thanks everyone for the compliments on my setup 😃

Panzer Ace, here’s a couple photos of the ED SdKfz 250/9 with some War Park Kursk figures:

The War Park infantry are a little bigger than their FL counterparts, but still seem within scale. I had a harder time trying to get various War Park tank commander figures into the cramped space in the halftrack’s turret. Most of the figures (particularly the newer figures) were just a slight bit too large!

Thank you so much for the info and pics!

Extra thanks for the different angle shots, they really provide an excellent perspective as far as scale goes.

Great pics and thanks for sharing…I’ve been ‘on the fence’ regards this vehicle for a long time, great to see it with FL/WP figures.

Yeah, only the 3 prototypes might have been in grey. Most of the production versions would be either dunkelgelb/tropen or some version of camo. Those are what I am waiting for.

Yeah… The SdKfz 250/9s started appearing in number in 1943. ED almost always seems to do multiples of their models in grey, winter whitewash, or camouflage and for well over a year they’ve only had this one grey version of the recon halftrack. That said, it’s still a surprisingly nice model and I’m quite happy with it!
