Hi all

As mentioned in a previous thread, here's the first pic's of my ED winter Tiger with winter K&C figures. I think they work ok together, what do you think?

I'll post more pic's over the weekend of my ED desert and camo Tigers with respective K&C figures.

Cannot go wrong when setting out on a Jakob diorama and using quality vehicles and figures. Very nice Tom. Looking forward to see what else you come up with. Robin.

Excellent Tom! A great diorama and very realistic IMO.

Great match Tom! I myself was wondering how K&C would look together with ED armour since I've never seen their products personaly, and they make a pretty good match IMHO. Nice setup you've made there!

Thanks for the comments and likes fellas.

Here's some more pic's of my ED DAK Tiger married up with some of my K&C figures. I think they also look ok together.

Looks good.:salute::...Nice photos..:salute::.... but.... the K/C figures are a bit too large for the ED Tigers IMO......If it works for you great but actually the K/C figures are 1:28th scale which do not even work all that well with K/C Tigers......K/C Tank Riders probably work better with TCS 1:28th Scale Tigers......Exception: Actually I have used a K/C Tank Commader figure in the hatch of the ED Tiger it fits fairly well and works ......but the K/C tank riders not as well..........See photo below......War Park and WB figures work well with the ED Tigers....FL figures are a bit small for the ED Tigers

I'm not going to get into a size or scale war with you mate, but I disagree with what you say to a certain degree. I have already said in another thread that K&C figures do tend to vary in size with many of the new figures being larger and many of the older figures being smaller. The figures I chose for my pic's are mostly older and I think they work just fine with my ED Tigers.

I agree that WP figures will also work fine with the ED Tigers so I think this is a case of WP and K&C (some, not all) will work fine with the ED Tigers. I have purchased some WP figures to pick up at the CTSS this September and i'll do some dio's with them and my ED winter Tiger when I get back home.

At the end of the day collectors can make up there own minds from looking at my pic's if they think K&C figures work or not with the ED Tigers. I have also started a size comparison thread between my ED Tigers and K&C Tigers (as well as Figarti Tigers) so if collectors are happy with their K&C figures working with their K&C Tigers, then they should feel the same with the ED Tigers working with K&C figures as the K&C Tigers are all but the same size as the ED Tigers.

All comparison photos are educational and great for selecting the right figures for the right armor for the greatest realism! ED does not make figures to date and is dependant on other manufacturers figure size compatibility. Photos are the best way to go in establishing compatibility.

Photos are nice but they can be misleading based on the camera angles......I personally have tried the BOB K/C Tank Riders on the Winter ED Tigers and they are simply too large IMO but this has always been a problem for K/C....1:28th scale figures on 1:30th scale tanks just doesn't work for me as the the size discrepenccy is too noticeable to my eye......That said......I will agree that the ED Tiger is close in size to K/ C Tigers.....I also agree that each collector can decide for themselves if the size discrepency is within the acceptable range.....As long as your happy that's all that really matters .:salute::.....Nice photos likem....Well Done:salute::

I am not trying to squelch the discussion but I do not mix different manufacturers' figures. It does not matter whether the scale matches or not. However, to those who do, more power to you! To each his own.

Nothing wrong with the camera angles mate, the pic's represent the figures and tank size as if you were looking at them with your own peepers! My eyes are getting a bit on but I can tell you the tank and figures look just fine together to me.

Thanks to everyone else for their comments and likes and here are my last pic's of my Normandy ED Tiger with my Normandy K&C figures. The tank riders are older K&C figures, hence as I have said before, smaller in size to the current release of K&C figures.

A criteria I employ when judging size compatibilty in regard to armor is where is the top of the figures head in relation to the gun barrel or the deck of a tank. The deck of the actual Tiger I is 1800mm or 70.8 inches high. A typical male circa 1944 was 68 inches tall; wearing a helmet would add about 2 inches of height. A 70 inch tall figures head should be about even with the deck of a Tiger I excluding the figure base. The figures in the photos fall within the nominal height range relative to the Tiger I.

If you don't mix figures you would have no figures to display with your ED Panzers; since ED doesn't make figures. Mixing figures adds interest to a scene. I mix K&C and TG DAK figures and Artillery in dioramas You would find it difficult to tell the difference between the figures unless you were an expert.

Tom posted photos earlier in the thread of K&C DAK and Winter figures with the ED DAK and Winter Tiger I. Excellent size compatibility and very realistic IMO. Frank posted a photo of a K&C Panzer Kommander in the cupola of the Grey ED Tiger I on another thread, it fit well and looked good. The size seems to be about the same as the K&C Kursk Tiger I and the first TCS Tiger I's.

Does it mate any pics with K&C figures 👍😉
