The following pictures are the new home for my King and Country Ancient Egypt collection.
The diorama was created by the master, Pat Gallagher. I told him I wanted a little of everything in there, and he sure came through! One of my favorite aspects is Pat added lighting to the interior spaces. He installed both white and orange bulbs (to replicate torch light!). I also love that there actually are interior spaces - all the roofs come off to access and see them.
The diorama tells a few stories in one...The left side is Cleopatra entertaining at Court w/ a processional in front, then we move onto the market square area with the fruit and bread vendors and people milling around, then to the business of the Pharaoh at court where he is accepting the sword of his sworn enemy, and lastly we see Pharaoh overseeing the construction of what will one day be his tomb.
Enjoy the photos (and sorry for the folds in the backdrop - makes me crazy, but I could not get them out!)

Zach...that is absolutely AWESOME...
the best AE diorama I have ever seen...
all I have right now is a frame...
but you have given me a ton of ideas...

Most of the credit goes to Pat - I just play with figures! 😀

Very, very impressive diorama and magnificent buildings .
Your collection is coming to life in this setting
:)Guy

A magnificent diorama AND without controversy!
Worthy of being in a museum one day.

This is outstanding and the best one I have seen for this series. What a wonderful dio to own. You have utilised all the various poses of the figures so well. The colour and mystery prevails for these Ancient times. It is a credit to you to bring this alive and in such a spectacular fashion. This will impress everyone big time.:salute:::salute:::salute:: Robin

Incredible Zach, no beyond incredible … wait; that diorama is beyond super incredible ...{sm3}
I give a HUGE salute:salute:: to Pat and his work. We saw some of his masterpieces at Chicago … but this.

What a wonderful collection.
