Elephant Sets (1 Viewer)

If it is boxed and in pristine condition, see if they would take $550.00. Every time I have let a $100 stand in my way, I can't find the set again. Years ago I could have bought the Arab dhow for $850. Can't even find one for sale now. Dumb on my part. Tommy

I think we have all been there Tommy {eek3}

Cheers

Tommy and Martyn, what a great thread ..... does it get any better than Elephant Sets, I don't think so! ^&grin Thanks to you both for sharing these fantastic pieces with us.

P.S. Martyn, we (meaning you :tongue:) are gonna have to convince to get Mike into the Elephant making business!

I must agree with a lot of your correspondents - Elephants do give the "Wow factor" - and the Trophy versions are particularly nice. Just to let other painters know (and maybe the wrong thread to do this on) - but Tradition of London DO still provide a quite similar version to the Trophy one as a casting (online shop still going). I know this - 'cos La Commandante tells me that I will be getting one - later on this year. (Wot a Nice Gel!).

So - thanks for showing chaps - your pics will be a good painting guide. jb

This is my only incomplete Trophy Elephant set and one additional driver.
I believe it is missing one or two marching figures with palms. However, I am not sure.

The figure you are missing is the same one riding on the water cart drawn by oxen. Tommy
