Hi
Does anyone have any Ensign figures they could share? I’ve picked up some figures to paint plus very interested in what kind of furniture you can use with them.
cheers

Can you post some images of the figures so I have an idea of what they are, then ii can possibly advise?

John

Sorry me bad. It’s the British Army Officers Mess Dress 1900 series. I have pictures of the ones I’m working on. But I can’t post them?
cheers

Hello David,

Great that you are into Ensign figures. They are very simple figures but they have stood the test of time.
If you use the link below it will take you to a discussion on Planet Figure that shows some Ensign Miniatures. One of the images shows the front page from Military Modelling April 1977,that has as big illustration of this range. Trust this helps.

I appreciate your issue with posting pics. I also have problems resizing images.

Good luck wit the painting.

HI Dave, some of my Mess Dress figures are included in the link Blackbob has shared.
The table and chair came from a set of military furniture I got on eBay(can't remember the source), but there was a lot of stuff I couldn't use in the set as well. The bench is from a garden set.

You can find 1/32 furniture in plastic on eBay but again the sets include a lot of stuff that is not suitable.

These Mess Dress figures are my favourites and I still have some more to paint.

Hope you can post pics of yours
Regards

Hi Dave,
Re furniture to go with the figure, Ensign produced chairs ,tables and a bench - see the cover pic from Military Modelling. Sometimes these items come up on e-bay. I have also used a Historex chair and table.
Yours,
Douglas aka Blackbob.

Hi
Thank you so much for all the information and sharing it. These are a lot of fun to paint and look amazing. Another look into a life of a toy soldier. Other than on the battle field or on the parade square.
Stay safe and happy.
Cheers
David
