Hi Guys,
In addition to our latest release of the ‘RAF Operations Room’ we have no less than TWO brand-new sculpts of TWO famous aces’ Hawker Hurricanes in production at the moment for probable release either late 2024 or, more likely, early 2025.
One Hurricane is in the markings of the legless flying ace Douglas Bader while he was the Squadron Leader of 242 Squadron.
The other Hurricane belongs to Squadron Leader Bob Stanford Tuck who commanded 257 Squadron during and after the Battle of Britain.
Appearing before either of these two Hawker Hurricanes is the Messerschmitt Bf. 109 ‘Gustav’ of Major Erich Hartmann, the top-scoring ace of any air force in WW2. Hartmann brought down 352 aircraft, nearly all of them on the Eastern Front.
This particular ‘GUSTAV‘ is one of several he flew in the winter of 1944/45 and is in the distinctive colour scheme and markings of wintertime on (and above) the Eastern Front.
This is due for release in October 2024.
All the best,
Andy
