Very good diorama Wayne,

the different images you have shown really tell the story of the Horrors of War !!!

Well Done !!

John

Someone is going to pay for this. My favourite half track and in Grey no less. Robin.

That repainted TCS halftrack goes perfect with the K&C figures.

Mate, that's a very well thought out scene! {bravo}}

Yes it's true but I find this distastefull to illustrate with toy soldiers . IMHO

Unusual scene, but very original . I always said dead soldiers come in handy for any diorama. I also love the damaged half track.
I'm sure the partisans will pay for this.
I do not understand Mirof's reaction, its only toy soldiers !!!!
guy:smile2:

Totally agree, Wayno depicted a scene that more than likely happened during WW2 and Toy Soldiers do illustrate war.

Guy, he may have misinterpreted the scene. When I first viewed the pics, I took them such that it was the Germans who had done the killing. My reaction was not unlike Mirof's. In essence, I took the scene to be a celebration of a nazi atrocity. When I realized that the dead were some Germans who might have been killed by partisans, or such, I related to the scene in a different fashion. Very thought provoking, IMO.

I'm realy sorry dear friend, as much as I'm pleased of the fabulous help and selfsacrifice of lot of soldiers of the US army in freeing Europe of the Nazi abomination ( we will never forget and thanks your vaillant nation ), I must say that perhaps they where shoot by US soldiers like in Audouville-la-Hubert . During the firts hours of the landing, there was no place for taking prisonners in charge, verbal orders were given to some forces, something I can understand; it was war .
As much as I can understand a battle scene with dead peoples, I avoid illustrating coldblood killing even if they are part of history . As some administrator told me once " ... they are younger peoples reading this blog ..." .
