Falklands revisited (3 Viewers)

For me some of the interesting facts of this war, is that it is so well documented, possibly aided by the duration being 74 days and a modern era. Amazingly the main land battle was less than 3 weeks, allowing once again a time line to the various battles to be fairly straight forward. While the logistics from Britain was immense given the distance from the Falklands, the equipment was limited and targeted to achieve a successful result. I would suggest to some degree this helps a manufacturer like Andy to tackle this conflict, producing the iconic pieces to identify with the various phases. Certainly looking forward to seeing what Andy has in mind for this series in the coming months and beyond. Always appreciate your comments and support guys. Robin.

Robin:

Great post to go with your great pics.

Great groups of scenes covering a very interesting conflict…I can still recall jumping around TV channels to catch news coverage of this conflict-what a difference the internet has made-lol

Beautiful set up Robin with the tank/soldiers in the long grass.

British Para's June 1982, in the battle of Moody Brook Barracks, with the Argentines having fled, leaving only two locals to stand in their way. Robin.

Great set of pictures ! Especially the last two-lol

The 2 Para Regiment attacked the Argentine held, hill settlement of Darwin, on the morning of the 28th of May 1982. Close to Goose Green, which was being assaulted at the same time, this at least proved an easier nut to crack. Robin.

Wow! Great set up! Well done!

Robin,
Nicely put together diorama. The grass and the buildings work well with your scene. "Don't shoot, I'm a penguin and at the moment' endangered."

Best keep an eye on those argies, after they started firing again when they had shown the white flag !
Nice one Robin.

Outstanding pix Robin…Already looking forward to more!
Just leave some room on your display for a few more figures…
Yesterday, I was in China and handed over my illustrations and reference material to our sculpting team for K&C’s first defending Argentinians as well as a few more attacking British troops.
More details in due course…
All the best,
Andy.

Argentine forces surrender to 2 Para, their first major land victory in the Falklands. Robin.
